TITLE: Awareness of families regarding the methods of speech therapy prevention AUTHOR: Monika Hroudová DEPARTMENT: Department of Special pedagogy SUPERVISOR: Mgr. Lucie Durdilová ANNOTATION: The aim of the theoretical part of this bachelor's thesis is to describe basic concepts related to the prevention of speech impediments, by using current literature, existing knowledge and research, characterize the most common forms of comminication disorder that usually occur in preschool children and inform about ways of how to prevent speech disorders, mainly primary ones (How can parents prevent the occurrence of speech defects among their children from an earliest possible age). Awareness of parents of the possibilities to prevent speech defects, of child's speech development and of thequality of related literature, will be determinated by a questionnare, this means a quantitative research method. Questionnare will be focused on parents with children between 3-4 years old

Rezension zu Albrecht Koschorke: Körperströme und Schriftverkehr. Mediologie des 18. Jahrhunderts.

Need for cognition relates to low-level visual performance in a metacontrast masking paradigm

    No full text
Need for cognition (NFC) refers to dispositional differences in cognitive motivation and has been frequently found to predict higher-order cognition, such as attitude formation and decision making. Based on recent evidence, this study examined whether NFC already relates to relatively early perceptual processes. Using a metacontrast masking paradigm (N = 137), we found that high-NFC individuals were more likely to use target-specific perceptual cues providing valid information for target discrimination, while low-NFC individuals were more likely to use less reliable heuristic cues for their judgement. Intriguingly, our results suggest that core mechanisms of NFC (focussed/elaborative vs. peripheral/heuristic processing by differential utilization of environmental cues) can not only be found in reflective higher-order cognition, but similarly in behavioral indicators of early visual processing. Final Death of the Author: Creativity in the Age of Information Society

No kako onda razumjeti kreativnost danas, kada je naša individualna svijest proširena elektronskim medijima i telemetrijski uključena u “globalni mozak”? If we assume that creativity is a result of the inner dialogue of creative individual (author), during which he creates an improbable combination of elements (i.e. new information), how can we comprehend creativity today, after we technologically extended our individual consciousness and connected it into a “global brain” via telematics? Prevalence of information and communications technology enables us to create more new information than ever, and allows us to store it in artificial memory, where it could be reused by almost anyone. In the age of ICT, author seems to be superfluous and the inner dialogue has been replaced by interpersonal dialogue. Taken into consideration Vilém Flusser’s and Marshall McLuhan’s theory of media, I will try to problematize new paradigm of creativity, as it is disclosing in information society
