    Reverend Albert L. Reed was born on December 14, 1939. In this interview, he discusses the history and significance of Braden United Methodist Church. He related his role in the religious community by defining his participation in many religious organizations. Reed was also active in many civic organizations such as the NAACP, Model Cities program, and the Board of Community Relations (BCR). His influence within the African American community helped control the tensions Toledo faced in the 1960s. He offered some insights into the crisis for African American theologians, families, and the struggle for participation in government positions. He died on April 25, 2011 in Toledo
