Study of a TGF associated with an elve using extremely low frequency electromagnetic waves

    No full text
A terrestrial gamma-ray flash (TGF) associated with an Elve was recently reported by the Atmosphere-Space Interactions Monitor (ASIM) (Neubert et al., 2020, https://doi.org/10.1126/science.aax3872). An extremely low frequency electromagnetic field pulse coinciding with this event was detected by two stations of our World Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) Radiolocation Array (WERA) project from a distance of more than 10,000 km. The recorded signal allowed us to radiolocate the source, determine its polarity, and calculate the charge moment of the associated atmospheric discharge. Our analysis shows that this TGF was associated with a powerful discharge that had a positive polarity and the charge moment p ≈ 125 C·km.Fil: Marchenko, Volodymyr. Influence of the chicken breeding method on the selected chemical constituents of chicken eggs

    No full text
This diploma thesis is focused on the analysis of egg yolks and egg whites from chickens raised with different breeding methods in the Czech Republic using three analytical methods. The Kjeldahl method was used to determine the proteins, the Soxhlet method was used to determine the lipids and ICP-OES was used for elemental analysis. The theoretical part describes the history of chicken breeding, marking and distribution of eggs and composition of eggs based on various aspects. The main point was the separation of egg yolk and egg white and the subsequent description on the chemical and physiological level. Principle of used methods is also described. The experimental part deals with the preparation of samples, calibration samples and process analysis. All the results of analysed substances are summarized, statistically evaluated and compared with the other literature. For this analysis were used eleven different types of eggs from the Czech Republic from six different categories

Childhood Trauma and its Impact on Children's Development

    No full text
This diploma thesis focuses on childhood trauma and its associated factors, such as gender, child's age, various types of traumatic events, their recurrence, and child's proximity to the perpetrator of violence. This thesis builds on current Czech and international literature while also identifying its limitations and challenges, which are addressed appropriately in the analysis. The main outcome consists of predictive models assessing the impact of traumatic events on children and their subsequent development. The overall research sample includes 181 child clients of the Prague-based Centre LOCIKA. The analysis is based on the data obtained during the children's psychological assessment (specifically demographic and anamnestic data, and TSCYC and IDS method's results). The analysis follows the principles of Bayesian statistics, enabling the development and refinement of more complex predictive models. These models are tailored to reflect the theoretical assumptions outlined in the theoretical part of this thesis. The thesis provides specific analytic results (gender differences, the likelihood of traumatic event recurrence, and other findings). Additionally, it offers theoretical recommendations for future research, considering both the limitations of the existing literature and those of this...Diplomová práce se zabývá otázkou raného traumatu a přidružených faktorů, jako je pohlaví, věk dítěte, různé typy traumatických událostí, jejich opakování, či proximita dítěte k pachateli násilí. Analýza pracuje s daty získanými při vyšetření těchto dětí - konkrétně s demografickými a anamnestickými údaji, a výstupy metod TSCYC a IDS. Czech e-mail marketing analysis

    No full text
The thesis aims to analyze and evaluate the current state of Czech email marketing. The author, based on his experience and supportive resources, compiled important criteria by which this analysis is performed on subjects from the field of ecommerce. The significance of all criteria and the ideal state in which they should be located are both outlined. The analysis objects are email campaigns (1439 samples) from selected subjects which the author has been collecting over 10 months. As a part of the work, in addition to the analysis itself, recommendations for improving and achieving quality and efficient email marketing, which has benefited both the sender and the recipient are also provided

The thesis aims to analyze and evaluate the current state of Czech email marketing. A Debt Sustainability Analysis of China’s Foreign Aid: is china increasing debt among the poorest countries?

    No full text
Since the conception of the Marshall Plan, the world has been fed a metanarrative. Central to this narrative is the designation of the United States and other traditional donors as the world leaders of foreign aid. The traditional donors have in the past faced some scrutiny; however, their methodology was accepted as the norm. In recent years, a number of developing countries, with China leading the charge, have increased the capacity of their foreign aid programs. The methodology of these emerging programs differs greatly from that of traditional donors. Much criticism has been raised with regard to the alleged negative effect of Chinese aid on recipient countries and in particular to the debt sustainability implications: it has been argued that Chinese foreign aid is putting developing countries in a debt burden that they will be unable to overcome. The aim of this work is to investigate such claims, by posing the questions: how do the effects of China’s and the United States’ foreign aid programs differ in relation to debt sustainability? How does Chinese foreign aid impact its recipients on the basis of debt sustainability? In answering these questions, this paper will reach the conclusion that the claims surrounding Chinese foreign aid as an inferior program are unfounded. In arguing his case, the author will provide a historical outline, draw on case studies, Chinese loan data, data from OECD countries as well as scholarly articles
