NEW SELECTIVE NICKEL(II)-N3 NITROGEN BOND IN ADENINE: SYNTHESIS AND STRUCTURE OF [(TREN)(ADENINE)(MONOCHLORO)NICKEL(II)]CHLORIDE AND [(TREN)(IMIDAZOLE)(MONOAQUA)NICKEL(II)]DICHLORIDE
The synthesis and characterization of two novel Ni(II) ternary complexes, containing tren and neutral adenine or imidazole have been reported. The investigation gains further insights into the nature of Ni(II)-nitrogen bond in complexes with nucleobases. An exclusive Ni-N3 bonding in the complex of adenine is reported for the first time
Polymorphism in the [(TTF)2(TCNE)2] Charge-Transfer Complex.
The reaction between tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) e tetracyanoethylene (TCNE) yields two polymorphs with similar molecular structure. Both polymorphs display a stack structure of the type . . . (TTF-TTF)(TCNE-TCNE)(TTF-TTF)(TCNE-TCNE) . . . but they differ in crystal structure for hydrogen bonding system and lamellar sheets. These two CT complexes possess an high resistivity and a degree of charge- transfer of 0.54e estimated through the C-S bond length
CO-ORDINATION CHEMISTRY OF ADENINE (HAde): SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF [CUII(TREN)(NUCLEOBASE)]X2 [TREN = TRIS-(2-AMINOETHYL)AMINE, X = CL OR NO3] COMPLEXES AND CRYSTAL STRUCTURE OF [CUII(TREN)(Ade)]CL.2H2O.
The five-co-ordinate complexes [Cu(tren)(H2O)]Cl2 (1), [Cu(tren)(HAde)]Cl2 (2), [Cu(tren)(HAde)]-[NO3]2 (3) and [Cu(tren)(Ade)]Cl·2H2O (4) [tren = tris(2-aminoethyl)amine and HAde = neutral adenine] have been synthesized and characterized. The geometry and structures of the complexes were studied by electronic and IR spectra and, in addition, the structure of complex (4) has been determined by X-ray crystallography
