operanti nel settore informatico definite Dot-com companies (De Long
sviluppo dell’idea imprenditoriale.
opportunità di utilizzo dei metodi alternativi di più recente istituzione;
startup;

Recognizing Progress on SDG 5 of the 2030 Agenda in Europe: Guidelines for Development in Support of Gender Equality
Gender equality policies are closely linked to the identity of the European Union and the United Nations (UN). The importance of this issue has led to its inclusion in both the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the 2030 Agenda. Among the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the founding elements of the 2030 Agenda, SDG5 is dedicated to the pursuit of gender equality and is divided into indicators of discrimination, violence, and women’s participation in both the political and economic spheres. This study aims at checking the status of implementation of SDG5 in European eurozone countries to identify the best-performing nations and study their implemented policies.
In order to achieve the research objective, a mixed method is used. Thanks to the quantitative analysis, it is possible to determine which European states perform best in pursuit of the goals set by SDG 5. To this end, historical data from 2010 to 2019 collected by EUROSTAT will be projected to 2030. Qualitative analysis is used to identify and analyze policies put in place by countries that perform best.
This article studies European countries’ policies aimed at fulfilling commitments made in the 2030 Agenda with regard to gender equality to identify the policies that have proven most successful. In addition, given the relative recentness of the SDGs, the timeframe taken into consideration makes it possible to carry out an accurate study of the results obtained and make projections based on the policies adopted by individual states since 2015, the year in which the 2030 Agenda was signed. Although other studies have analyzed the pursuit of the SDGs, to date, there has been no in-depth study of Goal 5, which, since the introduction of the MDGs, has been one of the main objectives of the UN.
The results of this study could provide European governments with a deeper insight into the effectiveness of current policies in pursuit of gender equality. In addition, they may demonstrate new action plans to be undertaken regarding identified shortcomings and amplify their positive effects in an integrated perspective. This could also be done in light of the example set by those states that are already performing well in this area
Civic Crowdfunding: Analysis of the Motivations that Lead Donors to Support the Projects
Civic crowdfunding (CCF) represents an effective method to raise funds for the creation of public
works and projects by citizens but it is even more than that; it appears capable of transforming public
administration into what Osborne (2006) defines as the new public governance where multiple actors
contribute to the provision of public services and where the emphasis is on the design and evaluation
of durable inter-organizational relationships, where trust, relational capital and relational contracts act
as fundamental governance mechanisms. However, although CCF has been studied since 2013,
knowledge on the topic is limited especially with regard to the motivations that lead donors to select
and financially support CCF projects. This analysis for civic projects is of particular interest because
donors do not receive monetary rewards for their contributions.
In light of the above, the present study aims to understand the motivations that lead individuals to
fund CCF projects.
To achieve the research objective, in line with what has been done to analyze motivations related to
crowdfunding investments (Aitamurto, 2011; Brem et al., 2019; Gerber and Hui, 2013), a qualitative
analysis will be carried out through which in-depth interviews (Corbetta, 2014) will be conducted
with investors of CCF projects. To conduct the interviews, the authors created a protocol that was
divided into three macro sections: the first one based on the interviewee's characteristics and
background, the second one concerning the interviewees' knowledge of the CCF platforms and how
they became aware of both the platforms and the campaigns they invested in, and the third one
concerning the motivations that led to the investment. The average interview period was about 30
minutes, and all interviews were recorded and transcribed to perform the information analysis
whereby the authors divided the emerging data into meaningful categories highlighting the parts
where participants described what made them decide to fund CCF projects.
The use of the qualitative methodology allows for both an understanding of the motivations that lead
donors to support CCF projects, as well as a comparison analysis designed to see if there are any
relevant differences with the motivations of funders of other crowdfunding projects such as charitable
or commercial ones (Jian and Shin, 2015; Mollick, 2014).
It is believed that this study can have significant theoretical as well as practical impact as it makes
multiple contributions
The Credibility of Fashion and Luxury Companies’ Sustainability Reports and the Role of Gender Equality
The Credibility of Non-Financial Corporate Disclosure: Evidence from the Fashion and Luxury Sector
The purpose of the study is to analyze the credibility of non-financial reports of companies belonging to the fashion and luxury sector and to understand the role played by gender equity in the pursuit of sustainability goals. The pursuit of sustainability by nations and companies is an increasingly discussed topic in the literature and is closely related to the ways in which the activities put in place are not only implemented, but also reported and disclosed.
In this context, sustainability issues are particularly relevant for companies operating in the fashion and luxury sector, where companies belonging to the "Made in Italy" can exploit a competitive advantage. In fact, a number of principles and regulations have emerged aimed at outlining proper reporting and disclosure of non-financial activities, among which those aimed at sustainability have assumed a prevalent role. Some companies, however, take a "check the box" approach with regard to sustainability-related reporting, and this has compromised their reputation, as positive results are extolled and negative ones omitted Therefore, to achieve this goal, a qualitative content analysis of reports prepared in 2021 by No. 23 companies within the top 100 global luxury brands was conducted. The qualitative analysis was carried out through a self-constructed credibility index based on Habermas' idealism. Credibility was considered as a construct consisting of: truthfulness, sincerity, and adequacy and comprehensibility. The results show that nonfinancial reports of companies operating in the fashion and luxury industries tend to have low credibility. This result contributes to the expansion of empirical research directed at verifying the credibility of communications regarding the pursuit of sustainability goals carried out by companies. The study also contributes to providing a better understanding on sustainability reporting carried out by companies in the luxury fashion industry by highlighting best practices that other companies can also follow
