    The methodology of construction of the alternative agricultural production scenarios at regional level includes profitability and feasibility analysis based on assessment the effect of global climate change on productivity parameters for the main agricultural crops, cost efficiency of crop growing and cattle breeding. To propose links between economic adaptation to climate change and carbon (organic C) stock management in agricultural ecosystems for use in developing long-term adoption strategies at regional level, the regional economic-mathematical model was elaborated.     The time evolution of director orientation in the cell subject to the external magnetic field in the case of time-dependent boundary conditions is investigated. The case when one substrate has strong anchoring and at other substrate director anchoring is determined by process of adsorption/desorption of LC molecules on it is considered. The problem is solved in one constant approximation and Rapini-type potential for interaction between LC molecules in the cell and adsorbed LC molecules is proposed. During the time evolution the orientational distribution function of molecules adsorbed on the cell substrate possesses two maximums.     Reptiles show a remarkable diversity of sex determination mechanisms and sex chromosome systems, derived from different autosomal pairs. The origin of the ZW sex chromosomes of Lacerta agilis, a widespread Eurasian lizard species, is a matter of discussion: Is it a small macrochromosome from the 11-18 group common to all lacertids, or does this species have a unique ZW pair derived from the large chromosome 5? Using independent molecular cytogenetic methods, we investigated the karyotype of L. agilis exigua from Siberia, Russia, to identify the sex chromosomes. FISH with a flow-sorted chromosome painting probe derived from L. strigata and specific to chromosomes 13, 14, and Z confirmed that the Z chromosome of L. agilis is a small macrochromosome, the same as in L. strigata. FISH with the telomeric probe showed an extensive accumulation of the telomere-like repeat in the W chromosome in agreement with previous studies, excluding the possibility that the lineages of L. agilis studied in different works could have different sex chromosome systems due to a putative intra-species polymorphism. Our results reinforce the idea of the stability of the sex chromosomes and lack of evidence for sex-chromosome turnovers in known species of Lacertidae

    Characterization of surfactin-like cyclic depsipeptides synthesized by Bacillus pumilus from ascidian Halocynthia aurantium

    A marine bacterium (KMM 1364), identified as Bacillus pumilus, was isolated from the surface of ascidian Halocynthia aurantium. Structural analysis revealed that the strain KMM 1364 produced a mixture of lipopeptide surfactin analogs with major components with molecular masses of 1035, 1049, 1063, and 1077. The variation in molecular weight represents changes in the number of methylene groups in the lipid and/or peptide portions of the compounds. Structurally, these lipopeptides differ from surfactin in the Substitution of the valine residue in position 4 by leucine, and have been isolated as two carboxy-terminal variants, with valine or isoleucine in position 7. As constituents of the lipophilic part of the peptides, only beta-hydroxy-C-15-, beta-hydroxy-C-16-, and a high amount of beta-hydroxy-C-17 fatty acid were determined
