Kathleen Romoli
Research thus far has only illuminated one Colombian silent film made by a woman. She was not a native Colombian, but a self-taught anthropologist born in the United States. The travelogue, made by Kathleen Romoli, was independently produced ten years after the end of the silent film era in the United States. Brought to light by the Fundación Patrimonio Fílmico Colombiano, it is significant because of its subject matter. The mining company Gold Platinum (GP) requested a promotional film about its operations in the Colombian Pacific coast. Romoli, a prominent historian and anthropologist, shot A Journey to the Operations of the South American Gold Platinum Co. (1937), also known as Gold Platinum (1937), paying special attention to the Embera community, which was in contact with the dredge camps in the 1930s. She never mentioned Gold Platinum to her family or colleagues. The film, which depicts the area where Romoli lived in Colombia and portrays the indigenous groups that Romoli wrote about, was found in her library after her death. In the 1990s, Patrimonio Fotográfico y Fílmico del Valle del Cauca, a Colombian regional institution under the Ministry of Culture, ran a preservation campaign in the Chocó region (Vidal 2011; Torres and Moreno 2009, n.p.). People living in “La Esmeralda,” Romoli’s estate in Trujillo, gave them twenty cans of 16mm film. These included Gold Platinum, left over material from the travelogue, and other footage from a later time. Circumstantial evidence suggests that Romoli was the author of Gold Platinum

Le funzioni delle citazioni bibliche nella letteratura della Slavia ortodossa
Biblical quotations play a central role in the literature of Slavia orthodoxa. Their
importance, together with the necessity of their systematic study, has been underlined
several times. The biblical element should be analysed at several levels, within differ
-
ent literary forms. First it should be identified and classified, then understood in the
context of liturgy and liturgical books. Through biblical quotations, the author gave an
interpretation of history and present situation according to the Holy Scripture and, by
means of rhetoric, he tried to make the biblical message actual and to renew its meta
-
morphic power. The present study focuses on the function biblical quotations have in
some of the most representative literary forms of Slavia orthodoxa. M. Garzaniti analy

A novel approach to channel decorrelation for stereo acoustic echo cancellation based on missing fundamental theory
ABSTRACT
Decorrelation is a well known issue in the context of Stereophonic Acoustic Echo Cancellation: it is related to the problem of uniquely identifying each pair of room acoustic paths, due to high inter- channel coherence. In this paper, a novel approach to decorrelate a stereo signal based on the missing fundamental phenomenon is proposed. An adaptive algorithm is employed to track the behavior of one of the two channels, ensuring a continuous decorrelation without affecting the stereo quality. Several results are presented comparing our approach with Masked Noise injection method in terms of Magnitude Square Coherence, Itakura Saito measure and Convergence Speed of adaptive filters in order to confirm the validity of the proposed approach.

Liturgia, tradizione patristica e memoria collettiva
The article is an attempt to partially recreate collective memory about the Cheesefare
feast on the basis of the Poučenie v nedelju syropustnuju (Teaching for Cheesefare
Sunday) by metropolitan Nikifor I (†1121). By means of a comparative analysis between
biblical quotations used in the text and those used in liturgical celebrations for Cheesefare
Saturday and Sunday, as well as Patristic literature devoted to the same liturgical
occasion (but also to fasting and related topics), the author has effectively collected
a cluster of common references. These very references (composed of biblical liturgical
and/or Patristic quotations) may represent one tessera of the mosaic of collective
memory associated with Cheesefare week that originated from liturgy and was consolidated
in the Patristic tradition
Names and Attributes of the Mother of God. For a Church Slavonic-Russian-Italian <em>Lexicon</em> of Religious Terms
In direct continuity with a previous essay on the study of a selection of attributes referred to the Christian God (Ferro, Romoli 2013), the authors analyze a number of epithets and attributes addressed to the Mother of God or defining her qualities. These words are frequently used in medieval Eastern Slavic literature, they are usually stated in the most authoritative dictionaries of Old and Church Slavonic languages, and remain generally unchanged in modern Russian.
Within the project of a trilingual (Church Slavonic-Russian-Italian) lexicon, the essay aims to show how the translation of religious terms goes beyond linguistics, as the question of correspondence or lack of correspondence in concepts and contexts of reference often arises. Since general dictionaries frequently fail to provide satisfactory solutions, it is necessary to go back to the origins, semantics and use of the terms through the systematic use of different types of dictionaries. In addition, in order to provide a proper Italian translation, the use of dictionaries of the Italian language is also fundamental
