Vpliv površinskih prevlek na poves vrha zoba polimernih zobnikov
When designing gear drives made of polymer, the tooth tip deflection is a crucial parameter in respect to the proper gear drive operation. Excessive tooth tip deflection can lead to serious disturbances of gear meshing and consequently to increased noise and wear of the teeth flanks. In such cases the tooth tip deflection can be reduced through the use of stiff surface coatings on the tooth flanks. In this paper the influence of different coating materials and thicknesses on the tooth tip deflection of polymer gears is analysed using comprehensive finite element computational analysis. The numerical results obtained are then used to define an approximate equation for the calculation of gear tooth tip deflection for the coating material used and the thickness of the surface coating layer. The results show that the tooth tip deflection decreases with large values of the coating material Young’s modulus and with the coating layer thickness.

Isospin symmetry breaking in the mirror pair Sr-73-Br-73
The recent experimental observation of isospin symmetry breaking (ISB) in the ground states of the T = 3/2 mirror pair Sr-73-Br-73 is theoretically studied using large-scale shell-model calculations. The large valence space and the successful PFSDG-U effective interaction used for the nuclear part of the problem capture possible structural changes and provide a robust basis to treat the ISB effects of both electromagnetic and nonelectromagnetic origin. The calculated shifts and mirror-energy differences are consistent with the inversion of the I-pi = 1/2(-), 5/2(-) states between Sr-73 and Br-73 and suggest that the role played by the Coulomb interaction is dominant. An isospin breaking contribution of nuclear origin is estimated to be approximate to 25 keV
Shell model analysis of the values in the B(E2, 2+ → 0+) values in the A = 70, T = 1 triplet 70Kr, 70Br, and 70Se
The transition strengths of the isobaric triplet recently measured at the RIKEN Radioactive Isotope Beam Factory (RIBF), are discussed in terms of state-of-the-art large scale shell model calculations using the JUN45 and plus Coulomb interactions. In this Letter we argue that, depending on the effective charges used, the calculations are either in line with the experimental data within statistical uncertainties, or the anomaly happens in rather than . In the latter case, we suggest that it can be due to the presence of a hitherto undetected state below the yrast state. Our results do not support a shape change of with respect to the other members of the isobaric multiplet
Calculation of the catenary sag of a power line under various climatic conditions
The following thesis deals with the automatic measurement of climatic conditions and the analysis of their impact on power line sag. Automatic weather stations, which record data on temperature, wind, and relative humidity, are installed on two 110 kV transmission lines on the Železnik - Bohinj route. As part of the thesis, we will analyze measurement data and compare them with data obtained from the nearest automatic weather stations owned by the Slovenian Environment Agency. In the second part of the thesis, based on the obtained measurements, we will calculate the power line sag and analyze to what extent differences in measurements significantly affect the final sag of the power lines
Neutrinoless Double-Beta Decay
This paper introduces the neutrinoless double-beta decay (the rarest nuclear weak process) and
describes the status of the research for this transition, both from the point of view of theoretical
nuclear physics and in terms of the present and future experimental scenarios. Implications of this
phenomenon on crucial aspects of particle physics are briefly discussed. The calculations of the nuclear
matrix elements in case of mass mechanisms are reviewed, and a range for these quantities is proposed
for the most appealing candidates. After introducing general experimental concepts—such as the
choice of the best candidates, the different proposed technological approaches, and the sensitivity—we make the point on the experimental situation. Searches running or in preparation are described, providing an organic presentation which picks up similarities and differences. A critical comparison of
the adopted technologies and of their physics reach (in terms of sensitivity to the effective Majorana
neutrino mass) is performed. As a conclusion, we try to envisage what we expect round the corner
and at a longer time scale
Quadrupole Collectivity in Neutron-Rich Fe and Cr Isotopes
Intermediate-energy Coulomb excitation measurements are performed on the N≥40 neutron-rich nuclei 66,68Fe and 64Cr. The reduced transition matrix elements providing a direct measure of the quadrupole collectivity B(E2;21+→01+) are determined for the first time in 68Fe42 and 64Cr40 and confirm a previous recoil distance method lifetime measurement in 66Fe40. The results are compared to state-of-the-art large-scale shell-model calculations within the full fpgd neutron orbital model space using the Lenzi-Nowacki-Poves-Sieja effective interaction and confirm the results of the calculations that show these nuclei are well deformed
Service Design for Supportive Health Systems: Service proposition for Clear
This Master’s thesis looks at the development of a Service Design solution for a Supportive Health System in the field of nutrition. The project is scoped within Clear, a young organisation using Continuous Glucose Monitoring technology (CGM) to support better nutritional habits. This thesis applies a mixed-methods approach, integrating quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis to answer the following questions: (1) How shall responsible parties generate a Preventive Health behaviour in the in- dividual? (2) How shall design parties integrate data in the design of Supportive Health Systems? And (3) How shall organisations deliver services that integrate Supportive Health Systems to facilitate Preventive Health Behaviour? The end goal of the final service solution presented in this thesis is to offer a proof of concept for a viable proposition in the emerging field of Personalised Nutrition. It is meant to be a guide for implementation to the collaborating organisation, and an actionable way to provide inspiration for key stakeholders of the field.Strategic Product Desig
