    The collection comprises a large amount of legal documents, deeds, correspondence and clippings relating to the Dobrin family of Freienwalde. The majority of the documents are from the 19th century.The collection does not contain a clear family tree but it appears that Lewin Dobrin (mid 1700s-early 1800s) was the father of Simon Marcus Dobrin (late 1700s to mid 1800s), who was the father of Marcus Simon Dobrin (first half of 1800s to early 1900s). The latter was presumably the father of Julius Dobrin , who was also presumably the father of Fritz Dobrin (1896-?). Marcus Simon Dobrin was awarded the royal Kronenorden, which is included in the collection; a certificate verifying the award is included in folder 4.The Kronenorden medal, 4th class, has been removed to the Arts and Objects collection.The original German-language inventory is available in folder 1.Processed for digitizationdigitize

    Uvod: Mišična vzdržljivost je ključni del telesne pripravljenosti. Ni pomembna samo za športnike, ampak za vse, saj prispeva k splošnemu zdravju in telesni sposobnosti. Po navadi jo ocenjujemo s statičnimi, izometričnimi testi zaradi njihove enostavne izvedbe, cenovne ugodnosti in časovne učinkovitosti. Uveljavljena skupina testov vzdržljivosti mišic po McGill-u ima nekaj pomanjkljivosti, kot sta vpliv drugih telesnih struktur na izid testiranja in različnost položajev testiranja. Namen: Namen magistrskega dela je bil, ugotoviti ponovljivost in veljavnosti testov za ocenjevanje vzdržljivosti mišic trupa na rimskem stolu. Metode dela: V raziskavi je sodelovalo 31 zdravih preiskovancev (14 žensk in 17 moških). Meritve so bile opravljene v dveh sejah z razmikom 48 ur. V prvi seji so preiskovanci trikrat opravili skupino testov vzdržljivosti mišic trupa na rimskem stolu, v drugi seji pa skupino testov po McGill-u. Rezultati: Pri preverjanju ponovljivosti skupine testov na rimskem stolu je bila opažena visoka vrednost intraklasnega koeficienta korelacije, za fleksorje (0,795), desne stranske fleksorje (0,827), leve stranske fleksorje (0,867) in ekstenzorje (0,897). Ponovljivost je bila primerljiva s skupino testov po McGill-u. Skupini testov sta bili skladni glede na izračunana razmerja ter sta bili nizko do visoko povezani glede na časovne vrednosti (? = 0,41-0,80) in občutenje upora (? = 0,60-0,75). Razprava in zaključek: Skupina testov vzdržljivosti za mišice trupa na rimskem stolu je ponovljiva in veljavna metoda testiranja. Uporabna je lahko za laboratorijsko, klinično in športno okolje. It is important not only for athletes, but for everyone, as it contributes to overall health and fitness. It is typically assessed by static, isometric tests due to their ease of performance, affordability and time-effectiveness. The well-established McGill group of muscle endurance tests has some shortcomings, such as the influence of other body structures on the outcome of the test and the variety of testing positions. Purpose: The purpose of this MSc thesis was to determine the repeatability and validity of tests used to assess trunk muscle performance on the Roman chair. Methods: 31 healthy subjects (14 females and 17 males) participated in the study. Measurements were performed in two sessions 48 hours apart. In the first session, the subjects performed the trunk muscle endurance test group on the Roman chair three times, and in the second session, the McGill test group. Results: When testing the repeatability of the group of tests on the Roman chair a high intraclass correlation coefficient was observed for flexors (0.795), right lateral flexors (0.827), left lateral flexors (0.867) and extensors (0.897). The repeatability was comparable to the McGill test group. The two groups of tests were consistent with respect to the calculated ratios and were lowly to highly correlated with respect to time (ρ = 0.41-0.80) and resistance sensation (ρ = 0.60-0.75). Discussion and conclusion: The trunk muscle endurance test group on the Roman chair is a repeatable and valid testing method. It can be useful for laboratory, clinical and sports settings. It is an inexpensive and simple method of measurement. Further research is needed to develop the most appropriate and uniform testing method

    Uvod: Meritve gibljivosti sklepov so pomemben del celostne fizioterapevtske preiskave ter omogočajo fizioterapevtom natančnejšo oceno disfunkcije in napredka v procesu rehabilitacije. Pri opravljanju goniometričnih meritev z univerzalnim goniometrom lahko zaradi nenatančnosti preiskovalca dobimo napačne vrednosti obsega gibljivosti. Digitalni goniometrični sistem nima te težave, saj digitalni inklinometer pravilno izmeri obseg gibljivosti, ko je nameščen v skladu z navodili. Namen: Namen diplomskega dela je ugotoviti ponovljivost in zanesljivost goniometričnih meritev obsega gibljivosti kolena z digitalnim goniometričnim sistemom. Metode dela: V raziskavi je sodelovalo 40 študentov (21 žensk in 19 moških), povprečno starih 21,7 leta. Meritve so bile opravljene v dveh sejah z razmikom 48 ur. V vsaki seji so bile opravljene tri zaporedne meritve obsega gibljivosti ekstenzije in fleksije. Rezultati: Pri preverjanju ponovljivosti je bila najnižja vrednost intraklasnega koeficienta korelacije (0,754) opažena pri meritvah ekstenzije desnega kolenskega sklepa v prvi seji. Najvišja vrednost intraklasnega koeficienta korelacije (0,887) je bila pri meritvah ekstenzije levega kolenskega sklepa v seji 2.     Številni avtorji se ukvarjajo z iskanjem odgovorov na vprašanja povezana z odnosom med trgom in državo, še posebej v luči visoke brezposelnosti in krize socialne države v državah izven anglosaškega kroga. Ta debata, ki predpostavlja kompetitiven odnos med obema sferama, je v mnogih dimenzijah postala neproduktivna. Zato avtor teksta predstavi nekatere poteze novega pristopa, ki pripisuje večji pomen intermediarni sferi. Pri tem opozori na preslabo poznavanje te sfere, zmedo, ki spremlja poimenovanje te sfere in na težave, ki izhajajo iz tega. Boljše poznavanje intermediarne sferebi okrepilo njene potenciale za generiranje kolektivnih dobrin, zato skuša oblikovati vsaj grob okvir za oblikovanje definicije te sfere. Proti koncu teksta nakaže, na kakšne načine se intermediarna sfera umešča med ostale sfere, ki generirajo kolektivne dobrine.Numerous authors are searching for answers to the questions connected with relations between the market and the state, particularly in view of high unemployment and the crisis of the welfare (social) state in countries outside the Anglo-Saxon circle. The debate which assumes a competitive relationship between the two spheres is, in various dimensions, unproductive. For this reason the author presents some of the characteristics of a novel approach which attributes more significance to the intermediary sphere. He warns about the poor understanding of the sphere, the confusion related to its naming and the problems ensuing from this. A deeper understanding of the intermediary sphere would fortify its potentials for generating collective goods, therefore the author tries to form at least a rough frame to create a definition of this sphere. In conclusion, various modes of placement of the intermediary sphere among other spheres generating collective goods, are presented

    In Conversation: Using AR to connect to and within communities

    This session will focus on using augmented reality to connect communities and each other. It will look at how we can critically unpack new technologies (in particular AR) and use them to tell meaningful stories relevant to communities. Following the presentation will be an opportunity to share ideas, perspectives and be part of a global conversation. This session will be lead by Sid Dobrin who works within writing studies at the University of Florida, but whose research focuses on three distinct but overlapping subjects: the ecological properties of writing; ecocriticism and ecocomposition, including questions of oceanic criticism; and the relationship between writing and emerging technologies, including questions of contemporary digital and visual/screen culture. Dobrin is also Director of the Trace Innovation Initiative, a research hub that studies emerging writing technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) applications, comic forms as scholarship, writing ecology, and other cool stuff. Dobrin has been named a Digital Thought Leader by Adobe. This session will be facilitated by Associate Professor Clare Dyson from Swinburne University of Technology
