One of the efforts to replace chemical insecticides to eradicate DBD is to obtain natural larvicides and it’s so environmentally friendly. Vegetable insecticides are carried out using a purified extraction process. The purpose of this study was to compare the toxicity of the supernatant and precipitated purified extract of mindi leaf (Melia Azedarach L.) on the mortality of Aedes aegypti L mosquito larvae. The samples used in this study ranged from 600-700 Aedes aegypti L mosquito larvae. This study used a design design. Completely Randomized (CRD) and the Minitab 14 for Windows application help to perform the analysis. The results showed the comparison of the toxicity of the purified extract supernatant of mindi leaf (Melia azedarach L). lower with an LC50 value > 1000 while the toxicity of the precipitated purified extract of mindi leaves (Melia azedarach L). higher with LC50 value < 1000. This research can be further tested regarding the magnitude of the toxicity in this study related to the measurement of environmental factors and also related to the KLT test to determine the possibility of new compounds, which are synergistic in the precipitate (fraksi etanol) and supernatant (fraksi n-heksan) in purified mindi leaf extract (Melia azedarach L)

Culex sp. is a vector of filariasis. Vector control mostly uses chemical insecticides which have a negative impact. Buas-buas plants (Premna serratifolia L.) are one of the plants that have the potential as an alternative to the use of chemical insecticides that have been widely used (as botanical insecticides). Buas-buas leaves (Premna serratifolia L.) contain alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins. This study aimed to test the toxicity of the purified extract of buas-buas leaf (Lethal concentration 50) on the mortality of Culex sp. larvae with an exposure time of 24 hours. Serial concentrations of purified extract used were 850, 1350, 1850, 2350, and 2850 ppm with four repetitions. Each treatment used 20 Culex sp. late three to early four instars. Toxicity testing of Culex sp. gives an LC50 result of 1799.77 ppm..   Kata Kunci: Culex sp.; Premna serratifolia L. ; Terpurifikasi; Toksisita

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused several impacts, one of which is in the field of education. Teachers must innovate to develop media to facilitate distance learning systems. One of the media that can be used is E-LKPD based on Problem Based Learning. E-LKPD based on Problem Based Learning, namely learning media that is presented in an electronic format based on Problem Based Learning. This study aims to develop Problem Based Learning-based E-LKPD to improve the science process skills of junior high school students. The type of research used is R&D research with development design using the ADDIE model. The results obtained are that the Problem Based Learning-based E-LKPD that was developed can be used as a learning medium during the pandemic to improve students' science process skills. This is because E-LKPD based on Problem Based Learning contains a problem to be solved by students

In this 21st century, education has been growing rapidly in an aspect of knowledge. This increase in knowledge is supported by the application of digital media and technology. One of the uses of technology in education is digital textbooks. This technology is very helpful for online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the digital textbook, Brain-Based Learning approach could be empowered student's brain potential as a whole in processing and thinking. This research aims to produce effective digital textbooks to increase the interest and learning outcomes of high school students. The design of the textbook development used refers to the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluations). The effectiveness of the developed digital textbooks has been seen based on the interest questionnaire and student learning outcomes. The average result of the student interest questionnaire was 86.65 with a very good category. The average value of Effect size is 0.66 with a medium effect category (Medium Effect)

: Infectious diseases caused by animal vectors are currently still a health problem in the world even in Indonesia, especially the Aedes aegypti mosquito which is the vector for the spread of dengue fever. Chemical control is still a priority for the community, such as the use of abate. Continuous use of abate can cause resistance to the Aedes aegypti mosquito to the next generation and pollute water conditions. One of the control solutions can be done with natural insecticides such as amethyst fruit (Datura metel  L.). The purpose of making purified extracts is to remove unnecessary impurities and get a larger content of active compounds and increase the concentration of active compounds. The concentration of amethyst extract (Datura metel  L.) used was a concentration of 100 ppm, 500 ppm, 1000 ppm, 1500 ppm, 1gr abate as a positive control and aquades as a negative control. The amount of Lethal Concentration-50 (LC50) purified extract of amethyst fruit (Datura metel  L.) with n-hexane was 494.987 ppm. The active compound content of amethyst fruit (Datura metel  L.) in the n-hexane fraction after a phytochemical screening test was carried out was positive for alkaloids, steroids, terpenoids and tannins. The toxicity of the purified extract with n-hexane of amethyst (Datura metel  L.) against Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae within 24 hours is considered toxic because it has an LC50 value of less than 1000 ppm.   Kata Kunci: Aedes aegypti; Datura metel L.; n-heksan; Terpurifikasi; Toksisita

Critical thinking skills is the ability to reason by using deep reasoning to obtain relevant information or knowledge and be able to draw conclusions or decisions correctly, and accently. Teachers need to know condition of students’ critical thinking skills in order to design appropriate learning designs and can help in the facilitating the increasing of students’ critical thinking skills. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the critical thinking skills of junior high school students in existing science studies. The research method used in this research is decriptive research. The study conducted by identifying students’ critical thinking skills by giving critical thinking skills tests to students of SMPN 1 Glenmore who had taken the concept of energy and energy resources in the Banyuwangi of East Java. The critical thingking skills of SMPN 1 Glenmore students who have taken the concept of energy and energy resources are in the medium category

Abstract: In teaching and learning activities, students who are active in the learning process will gain learning experiences that will affect student learning outcomes. When the teacher only uses the lecture method in delivering material, students will tend to listen and not be actively involved in teaching and learning activities. This research is a classroom action research consisting of two cycles with different materials, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely: planning, action, observation and reflection. The population in this study were all students of class VIII B of SMPN 7 Jember in the 2019/2020 lesson, totaling 32 students. Learning outcome data is in the form of psychomoric learning outcomes in the form of mental activities and student affective learning outcomes obtained from observation sheets during the teaching process, and cognitive learning outcome data is obtained from evaluation tests. The results showed that from the two cycles taken, data was obtained that the completeness of the students' classical mental learning outcomes was 73.50% in the first cycle and 89.00% in the second cycle, respectively. Classical mastery of cognitive learning outcomes 72.10% in cycle I and 88.90% in cycle II. While the classical completeness of affective learning outcomes was 78.40% in the first cycle and 90.30% in the second cycle. Keywords: Cooperative Model; Numbered Heads Together; Learning Outcome
