    International audienceFinancial inclusion and the digital economy are two transformative forces shaping modern economies. In India, these elements have been critical in accelerating economic growth, reducing poverty, and promoting social equity. Financial inclusion, defined as providing financial services at affordable costs to disadvantaged and low-income sections of society, has attracted considerable attention from policymakers. Meanwhile, the digital economy, characterized by the widespread use of digital technologies in economic processes, has expanded rapidly with the advent of smartphones, internet connectivity, and government initiatives such as Digital India.This paper traces the interplay between financial inclusion and the digital economy, highlighting their collective impact on India’s economic landscape. It examines the policies promoting these agendas, their outcomes, and remaining challenges.

International audienceIndia has the world’s largest youth population. The expansion of the education sector is producing lakhs of graduates and post-graduates every year. However, the gap in the level of education and employment availability is increasing. This gap creates serious economic challenges for the society – unemployment, underemployment, income inequality and skill shortages are some of the issues. The National Education Policy 2020 (NEP2020) has emphasized skill-based education, vocational courses, entrepreneurship development and industry-education linkages. However, due to implementation limitations, lack of infrastructure and rural-urban divide, the education-employment gap has widened in some places instead of narrowing. This research paper studies the causes of the education-employment gap, its economic consequences and the challenges faced by the society under the NEP2020. Secondary data will be used in the research methodology. The findings of this study will be useful for policymakers and educational institutions to focus on employability

    No full text
This article details the intertextual approach of Louis-Ferdinand Céline evident in the Londres manuscript, the latent influence of the music-hall, Dickens, and Conrad as well as the historical and cultural significance of bodysnatching in London’s medical history. This study highlights the ways in which Londres transforms parts of cultural texts in the manner of English burlesque, London gothic literature, and through London’s macabre medical history. This analysis privileges the metaphor of the bodysnatchers or resurrection men, both as literal resurrectionists and as representatives of textual appropriation the practice of exhuming and “dissecting” literary predecessors to construct a macabre, burlesque critique of society and culture in order to transform it. The study positions Londres as highly emblematic of a broader practice of célinian intertextuality and modernist transgression which has wide implications for Céline scholarship.

The Rise of Gyūnabe: How Beef Achieved Prestige, 1870-1930

    No full text
The article examines how the consumption of beef became socially acceptable in Japan: the rise of the prestige of gyūnabe. It argues that the spread of beef consumption, from the Meiji period onwards, was not a matter of the rather egalitarian horizonal development presented by previous scholarship, but rather was the result of a vertical reallocation of resources. The article describes the two basic tactics beef restaurants adopted in response to the increasing economic value of beef from the 1890s onwards: either a range of fraudulent practices, or the enhancement of restaurant facilities to attract relatively wealthy customers. The latter took place concurrently with a change in the clientele consuming gyūnabe. Here, another motive for consuming gyūnabe emerges: as it became a cuisine for the upper classes, it became a socially aspirational cuisine. Beef itself also achieved prestige by becoming beyond the reach of the poor and vulgar.</div

L'Intelligence Artificielle et sa Relation avec les Sciences Humaines

    No full text
Importance of theStudy: This study aims to explore the complex and evolving relationship between artificial intelligence (AI) and the humanities. Its importance lies in shedding light on how AI affects our understanding of humanity and reshapes fields such as literature, philosophy, history, and art. The study also highlights the potential for fruitful collaboration between the two fields and how the humanities can guide the ethical and human-centered development and application of AI. Research Problem: The problem revolves around the challenges and opportunities that AI presents to the humanities. Will AI undermine the role of the humanities in shaping our understanding of the world, or will it open new horizons for research and creativity? How can we ensure that AI serves humanity and enhances its values, rather than becoming a tool for control and manipulation? And how can the humanities contribute to the development of "humanistic" AI that respects ethical and social values? Scope of the Study: This study focuses on specific aspects of the relationship between AI and the humanities and does not claim to cover all dimensions of this complex interaction. Additionally, the study acknowledges the methodological challenges in studying this rapidly developing field and calls for further research and discussion on these issues.**Importance de l'étude :** Cette étude vise à explorer la relation complexe et en constante évolution entre l'intelligence artificielle (IA) et les sciences humaines.

Articulating while listening: The perception-production link in early infancy

    No full text
There is a growing body of work in infant speech perception proposing that the auditory analysis of speech is coupled with articulatory information involved in speech production. These studies show that the link between perception and production emerges early in infancy, and before infants have some experience with speech production. However, the mechanisms behind the development of this link are not well understood. Importantly, research has not yet addressed whether infants produce linguistically-driven articulatory movements when perceiving speech. To address this question, we employed ultrasound imaging to record the tongue shapes of 6-month-old infants while listening to vowel-consonant-vowel sequences that differed in the articulatory configuration of the consonant. If tongue shape varied as a function of the speech token heard, listening to a dental sound like /t/, and to a velar sound like /k/, would trigger differences in tongue shape. The results confirmed this prediction, showing that infants produced articulatory movements by placing the tongue more to the front or back in the direction of the sounds they heard. Our findings are the first to suggest that infants engage in speech driven oral-motor responses modulated by the sounds perceived, advancing our understanding of the mechanisms for the emerging perception-production link

    Subjective Interpretation in Flash Fiction

    No full text
This analysis paper presents two of the author's flash fiction stories. He encourages readers to make sense of the narratives in their own way. The paper argues that revealing too much of the story would deprive the reader of the stimulation which was supposed to draw them toward closure. The author observes that the vast majority of recent flash stories do not have the above-mentioned ironic twist but hopes that this paper will proliferate the endangered mystique. The author terms the mistake of telling the reader too much as 'the spoiler'. The term is often used in the movie industry to mean a piece of information that-too early on-reveals important plot details, twists, or surprises about a movie. It is intended that this paper remains short and easy to understand so that readers can grasp flash fiction and be interested in stories of that nature

THE VISUAL SCORE METHOD: A NOVEL APPROACH TO EXPRESSING MUSIC THROUGH ART: Transforming Music into Art: A New Frontier in Expression

    No full text
The Visual Score Method is a groundbreaking approach to artistic expression that systematically translates musical compositions into visual representations. This innovative method bridges the gap between auditory and visual art forms, allowing artists to create paintings inspired directly by the elements of music, such as rhythm, melody, harmony, dynamics, notes, and pitch. Through a structured yet flexible process, the method encourages artistic freedom and personal interpretation, resulting in unique works of art that reflect the emotional and structural complexity of music. By integrating music theory and artistic creativity, the Visual Score Method offers a novel way to experience and appreciate music while expanding the possibilities of visual art
