Application of monetary policy instruments based on the establishment of target inflation and its impact on Colombia's economic growth.
No full textThis paper analyses the relationship between the inflation target, economic growth and the monetary interest rate within the framework of the inflation targeting regime adopted by Colombia. Through a multiple linear regression model, it identifies how these variables interact and contribute to the management of monetary policy. The results highlight that, although the Banco de la República has managed to maintain inflationary stability by adjusting interest rates, the impact on economic growth has been limited due to structural and external factors. In addition, a significant relationship is evident between total inflation and the interest rate with the inflation target, which underlines the relevance of these tools in shaping economic expectations. However, challenges are identified such as the need to diversify the economy and complement monetary policy with fiscal and structural policies that promote sustainable and inclusive development.El presente trabajo analiza la relación entre la meta de inflación, el crecimiento económico y la tasa de interés monetaria en el marco del régimen de inflación objetivo adoptado por Colombia. A través de un modelo de regresión lineal múltiple, se identifica cómo estas variables interactúan y contribuyen al manejo de la política monetaria. Los resultados destacan que, si bien el Banco de la República ha logrado mantener la estabilidad inflacionaria mediante el ajuste de tasas de interés, el impacto sobre el crecimiento económico ha sido limitado debido a factores estructurales y externos. Además, se evidencia una relación significativa entre la inflación total y la tasa de interés con la meta de inflación, lo que subraya la relevancia de estas herramientas en la configuración de expectativas económicas. Sin embargo, se identifican desafíos como la necesidad de diversificar la economía y complementar la política monetaria con políticas fiscales y estructurales que promuevan un desarrollo sostenible e inclusivo

No full textColombia is a country where land transportation plays an important role, thanks to the extensive network of roads that connect the territory and through which truck drivers, locals and foreign tourists travel in search of new experiences. In this context, 1919 Barbacoa emerges, a restaurant consolidated as a gastronomic reference for drivers and tourists on the Villeta-Guaduas route. This restaurant, promoted by Juan Camilo Talero and Sara Isabella Millán, aims to merge Texan culinary traditions with a fast and personalized service, aimed at an underserved segment: transporters who, after long hours on the road, require quality food without sacrificing time. This initiative highlights a gap in the market, as it is estimated that more than 10,000 vehicles travel through the area, while few establishments offer food and adequate spaces for rest.Colombia es un país donde el transporte terrestre juega un papel importante, gracias a la extensa red de carreteras que conectan el territorio y por las que transitan camioneros, locales y turistas extranjeros en busca de nuevas experiencias. En este contexto surge 1919 Barbacoa, un restaurante consolidado como referente gastronómico para conductores y turistas en la ruta Villeta- Guaduas. No full textThe present thesis aims at the development of an automatic brick compactor machine with a control system and 3 different interchangeable molds for the Faculty of Architecture of the University of America, so that students can carry out practical tests of the manufacturing process of standard and quality bricks, the development of this machine will start from the detailed design appropriate to this need, for this we will incorporate three systems; on the one hand, we have the mechanical system or drive assembly that will transmit the movement, convert potential energy into mechanical energy and support the system comprised of the hydraulic body, loads, joints and components, in relation to the previous one, the second integrated system will consist of a hydraulic circuit controlled by automatic control, which will give in the first place, the feeding of the raw material and will allow the block elevators to return to their initial position, then will proceed its compaction and restoration of the load, taking into account its mechanical limit switch and finally will carry out the extraction and placement of the block. At the same time, the third system that we will integrate will be linked to the mechanical part since we will integrate three different types of interchangeable molds of different sizes.El presente trabajo de grado tiene como objetivo el desarrollo de una máquina compactadora de ladrillos automática con un sistema de mando y 3 moldes diferentes intercambiables para la facultad de arquitectura de la universidad de América, para que los estudiantes realicen ensayos prácticos del proceso de fabricación de ladrillos estándar y de calidad, el desarrollo de esta máquina partirá del diseño detallado apropiado a esta necesidad, para esto incorporaremos tres sistemas; por un lado, tenemos el sistema mecánico o conjunto motriz que transmitirá el movimiento, convertirá la energía potencial en energía mecánica y soportara el sistema comprendido por el cuerpo hidráulico, cargas, articulaciones y componentes, en relación con el anterior, el segundo sistema integrado constara de un circuito hidráulico controlado por mando automático, que darán en primer lugar, la alimentación de la materia prima y permitirá que los elevadores de bloques vuelvan a su posición inicial, después procederá su compactación y restablecimiento de la carga, teniendo en cuenta su final de carrera mecánico y por ultimo realizara la extracción y ubicación del bloque. Simultáneamente, el tercer sistema que integraremos, estará ligado a la parte mecánica ya que integraremos tres tipos diferentes de moldes intercambiable y de diferentes tamaños

No full textThe aim of this research was to evaluate malt bran as a substrate for the cultivation of the fungus Ganoderma lucidum to produce biomaterials, addressing the issue of brewer's bran as a waste product in the brewing industry and exploring its potential in biotechnology. Throughout the research, different substrate formulations were evaluated, composed of malt bran and its hydrolysate, adjusted to concentrations of 45%, 35% and 25% malt bran and 55%, 65% and 75% hydrolysate. The substrate pH was maintained in an adequate average range of 5.57, without affecting the growth of the fungus, it was ground to improve its consistency and hydrated with a chemically adapted bran hydrolysate. Three tests of each substrate formulation were performed (A45:H55, A35:H65 and A25:H75). The A35:H65 formulation showed better mycelial colonization.El objetivo de esta investigación fue evaluar el afrecho de malta como sustrato para el cultivo del hongo Ganoderma lucidum para producir biomateriales, abordando el del afrecho cervecero como residuo en la industria cervecera y explorando su potencial en biotecnología. A lo largo de la investigación, se evaluaron diferentes formulaciones de sustrato, compuestas por afrecho de malta e hidrolizado del mismo, ajustadas en concentraciones de 45%, 35% y 25% de afrecho de malta y 55%, 65% y 75% de hidrolizado. El pH del sustrato se mantuvo en un rango adecuado medio de 5.57, sin afectar el crecimiento del hongo, se trituró para mejorar su consistencia e hidrató con un hidrolizado del afrecho adaptado químicamente. Se realizaron tres pruebas de cada formulación de sustrato (A45:H55, A35:H65 y A25:H75). La formulación A35:H65 mostró mejor colonización del micelio

Impact of sports economics in Colombia.
No full textThis paper analyses the economy of sport in Colombia, highlighting its significant relevance as a driver of economic and social development through a combination of analytical tools such as the Sports Satellite Account (SSA) and the implementation of the VAR econometric model, analysing the interrelationship between the sports sector and significantly important relevant variables such as GDP, sports investment, spending on artistic and training activities by consumers and poverty. The results show that sport generates a significant and cumulative impact on GDP in the long term, as well as managing to boost strategic sectors such as sports tourism and consumption, infrastructure and employment, therefore demonstrating that sporting activities have a multiplier effect benefiting complementary areas, thus promoting economic diversification and national and regional development. On the other hand, from a social perspective, sport is considered a tool that achieves social inclusion and allows an improvement in the quality of life of the population and in turn a better social cohesion, allowing it to stand out for its ability to generate a reduction in inequalities.En el presente trabajo se realiza un análisis de la economía del deporte en Colombia, en el cual se destaca la relevancia significativa como motor del desarrollo económico y social, por medio de una combinación de herramientas analíticas como la cuenta satélite del deporte (CSD) y la implementación del modelo econométrico VAR, analizando la interrelación entre el sector deportivo y variables relevantes significativamente importantes como el PIB, la inversión deportiva, el gasto en actividades artísticas y de entrenamiento por parte de los consumidores y la pobreza. Los resultados evidencian que el deporte genera un impacto significativo y acumulativo en el PIB para el largo plazo, al igual que lograra impulsar sectores estratégicos como el turismo deportivo y el consumo, la infraestructura y el empleo, por lo tanto demuestra que las actividades deportivas obtiene un efecto multiplicador beneficiando a áreas complementarias, de esta forma realiza una promoción de la diversificación económica y el desarrollo nacional y regional, por otro lado desde un enfoque social el deporte se considera con una herramienta que realiza una inclusión social y permitiendo una mejora en la calidad de vida de la población y a su vez una mejor cohesión social permitiendo destacar por su capacidad para generar una reducción en las desigualdades
Analysis of the use of the UPAC system in housing credit, and its impact on the crisis of the nineties in Colombia
No full textThe purpose of this research is to identify the causes and consequences of the financial crisis following the implementation of the use of the UPAC (Constant Purchasing Power Unit) system, from its implementation in 1972 to the evolution to the UVR system in 1999. Throughout the research, the characteristics of the creation of the UPAC system, its evaluation and the crisis generated by its link to inflation in the nineties are presented, as well as the effects generated by the crisis and the impact on the Colombian population. The economic and social situation of Colombia is briefly analyzed, highlighting the housing problems and the existing inflation conditions that motivated the creation of this mechanism. A theoretical framework based on theories of financial intermediation and indexation models, as well as Minsky's theory of financial instability, is used to interpret the dynamics of the UPAC system and its implications. The methodology includes statistical analysis of historical data and documentary review.El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo identificar las causas y consecuencias de la crisis financiera a raíz de la implementación de uso del sistema UPAC (Unidad de poder Adquisitivo Constante), desde su implementación en el año 1972 hasta la evolución al sistema UVR en el año 1999. A lo largo de la investigación, se presentan las características de la creación del sistema UPAC, su evaluación y la crisis generada por su vinculación con la inflación en la década de los noventa, de igual forma se presentan los efectos generados por la crisis y la afectación en la población colombiana.
