No full textThis book explores the potential of the carob tree (Ceratonia siliqua L.) as a strategic crop for sustainable development and agroforestry diversification in Andalusia. Despite being a species traditionally associated with arid and marginal areas, the carob tree is gaining renewed interest thanks to its drought resistance, low water requirements, and ability to adapt to climate change. The book analyzes the latest advances in genetic improvement, cultivation techniques, the valorization of its products—such as carob pods, locust bean gum, and their derivatives—and market opportunities at both the national and international levels. It also presents innovative solutions aimed at increasing the profitability and sustainability of the crop, including the use of nursery technologies and planting models for the species. The text combines scientific rigor with a practical vision aimed at farmers, technicians and managers of the agroforestry sector, promoting a new perception of the carob tree as a crop of high economic, environmental and social value for rural areas of Andalusia.El presente libro aborda el potencial del algarrobo (Ceratonia siliqua L.) como cultivo estratégico para el desarrollo sostenible y la diversificación agroforestal en Andalucía. A pesar de ser una especie tradicionalmente vinculada a zonas áridas y marginales, el algarrobo está adquiriendo un renovado interés gracias a su resistencia a la sequía, su bajo requerimiento hídrico y su capacidad para adaptarse al cambio climático. La obra analiza los avances más recientes en materia de mejora genética, técnicas de cultivo, valorización de sus productos —como la algarroba, la goma garrofín y sus derivados— y oportunidades de mercado tanto a nivel nacional como internacional. Asimismo, se presentan soluciones innovadoras orientadas a aumentar la rentabilidad y sostenibilidad del cultivo, incluyendo el uso de tecnologías de vivero y modelos de plantación de la especie. Through this experience, the 6th-grade students, from CEIP Ramón y Cajal, had the opportunity to get to know the artist through her music and poetry, approaching her legacy from an educational and emotional perspective.Este libro recoge la preparación y exposición de la experiencia que tuvo lugar el 5 de marzo de 2025 en la Biblioteca Pública Cervantes de El Carpio. A través de esta experiencia, el alumnado de 6.º de Primaria del CEIP Ramón y Cajal pudo conocer a la artista a través de su música y su poesía, acercándose a su legado desde una perspectiva educativa y emocional.

No full textThe proven scientific and technical capabilities of forest geomatics in Spain have served as the starting point for this work. Forest geomatics needs to incorporate knowledge into its practical application in order to evolve in line with the scientific process. Based on this idea, the main objective of this book is to showcase the principal technical and scientific contributions in the field of geospatial technologies applied to forestry science. This book attempts to compile the most recent innovations to meet the scientific, technical, and professional demands of the forestry sector. Furthermore, given the dynamism of this field, one of the book’s objectives is to foster the exchange of ideas and experiences related to forest geomatics, as one of the areas with the greatest capacity for technological innovation in the sector.
Finally, it is worth highlighting the educational value of this work in forestry training, as it constitutes innovative teaching material for specialized master’s programs in geomatics at the national level, as well as for non-formal training programs (micro-credentials). Thus, the book is offered as a tool to promote training and the acquisition of digital skills in all areas of forestry science. In this sense, this text represents a valuable resource for professionals to acquire digital skills geared towards the development of specific forest management measures, fostering lifelong learning.La demostrada capacidad científica y técnica de la geomática forestal en España ha representado el punto de partida de la presente obra. La geomática forestal necesita incorporar conocimientos a su aplicación práctica para poder evolucionar en consonancia con el proceso científico. Partiendo de esta idea, el objetivo principal del libro es mostrar las principales contribuciones técnicas y científicas en el ámbito de las tecnologías geoespaciales aplicadas a la ciencia forestal. En este libro se ha intentado recoger las innovaciones más recientes para responder a las demandas científicas, técnicas y profesionales del sector forestal. Por otra parte, dado el dinamismo de este campo, uno de los objetivos del libro es fomentar el intercambio de ideas y experiencias relacionadas con la geomática forestal, como una de las áreas de mayor capacidad de innovación tecnológica del sector.
Por último, cabe destacar la vocación educativa de esta obra en la formación forestal, ya que resulta un material docente innovador para másteres especializados en geomática a nivel nacional, así como para la oferta de capacitación no formal (microcredenciales). Así, el libro se ofrece como una herramienta para impulsar la formación y la adquisición de competencias digitales en todos los ámbitos de las ciencias forestales. No full textThe work focuses on meaningful Marian representations, which flourished in emblematic literature, the clearest and most significant example of conceptual imagery in the Modern Age and a typical phenomenon of the verbal-visual rhetoric of the unity of the arts, image, and word. Important 15th-century manuscript repertoires are analyzed, as well as the most notable works on the subject published in the following centuries, when Marian themes and the visual formulation of the Immaculate Conception took on special relevance, giving rise to numerous controversies of profound religious and theological significance, with an important political, social, and cultural dimension. This is the context in which the iconographic type of Mary as the perfect woman and the images analyzed are framed, which achieved particular dissemination through engraved repertoires, responding to the importance that, since Trent, has been given to images to visually demonstrate the truths of the Catholic Church and the vindication of Mary in the face of criticism from reform movements.El trabajo se centra en las representaciones marianas portadoras de significado, las cuales alcanzaron un gran desarrollo en la literatura emblemática, el ejemplo más claro y significativo de la imagen conceptual en la Edad Moderna y fenómeno típico de la retórica verbo-visual de la unidad de las artes, imagen y palabra.
Se analizan importantes repertorios manuscritos del siglo XV y las más destacadas obras sobre la temática publicadas en los siglos siguientes, cuando adquirieron especial relevancia los temas marianos y la formulación visual de la Inmaculada, que dio origen a numerosas polémicas de profundo significado religioso y teológico, con una importante dimensión política, social y cultural; contexto en el que se enmarca el tipo iconográfico de María como mujer perfecta y las imágenes analizadas, que alcanzaron una especial difusión a partir de repertorios grabados, respondiendo a la importancia que a partir de Trento se concede a las imágenes para demostrar visualmente las verdades de la Iglesia católica y la reivindicación de María frente a las críticas de los movimientos reformadores.
