These data are relative to the paper "Neural Signatures of Hyper-Realistic AI-Generated Faces: Dissociating Behavioral Indistinguishability from Implicit Neural Evaluation". The present study aimed to determine whether the human brain preserves sensitivity to the artificial origin of hyper-realistic AI-generated faces even when explicit, behavioral discrimination from real faces fails. By integrating behavioral validation with high-density EEG recordings, we sought to characterize the temporal dynamics and neural substrates underlying the processing of real versus GAN-generated faces across perceptual, evaluative, and familiarity-related stages. Specifically, the study investigated whether implicit neural markers reveal systematic differences in the processing of artificial faces that are behaviorally indistinguishable from real ones, thereby dissociating overt recognition performance from covert neural evaluation

When remembering items is easier than remembering order

    No full text
Dataset relative to the study reported in the article "When remembering items is easier than remembering order". The study aimed at investigating whether remembering a series of items and their order are separate operations. The dataset reports the results of an immediate serial recall task performed with two conditions of cognitive load (high and low) and three conditions of aspect of the series to remember (items, order and both). All the scores recorded in the dataset are expresses as a proportion of correct responses

Proteasome Inhibitors Bortezomib and Carfilzomib Induce CIPN through Different Molecular Mechanisms - Raw data

    No full text
20S proteasome inhibitors have been approved for the treatment of multiple myeloma but induce chemotherapy-related neurotoxicity. Here, we compared the neurotoxicity of bortezomib (BTZ) and carfilzomib (CFZ), a less neurotoxic drug, by investigating preclinical models and dissecting the underlying molecular mechanisms using a multidimensional approach. We developed a new mouse model of CFZ-induced neuropathy and compared it to an established BTZ model using behavioral, morphological/morphometric, and proteomic analyses showing that the more severe neurotoxicity correlated with loss of nerve fibers and protein expression changes. Moreover, mitotoxicity and cytoskeleton alterations were comparatively investigated in terms of onset of altered mitochondrial morphology, functionality, and trafficking, alongside cytoskeletal proteins expression and axonal degeneration in cultured mouse dorsal root ganglion neurons. Both compounds significantly altered mitochondrial network organization and energy production after 24 hours of treatment. However, only BTZ increased microtubule hyper-stabilization by accumulation of tubulin post-translational modifications and induced early axonal degeneration within the first 10 hours, severely impacting mitochondrial trafficking after 24 hours. Taken together, these results point at mitochondrial toxicity as a common downstream effect of both treatments, while BTZ-specific off-target activity on tubulin hyper-stability may initiate early mitochondrial trafficking alterations, a new knowledge helping to inform future mitigation approaches. Data refer to each figure in the article describing the in vivo and in vitro effects of the treatment with proteasome inhibitors Bortezomib and Carfilzomib

We provide data and code to replicate the results presented in "A Hodrick-Prescott Filter with automatically selected breaks" (Maranzano & Pelagatti, 2025). The subfolders allow replicating the following: 1. Simulation experiments discussed in Section 3 "Simulations"; 2. Application results discussed in Section 4 "Assessing structural breaks in the Italian labour market"; 3. Simulation experiments discussed in Section 5 "A comparison with other business cycle extraction methods". For each subfolder a readme file is provided. It contains information about the reproduction steps

Data for "Infra-Delta Oscillatory Signatures and Gesture Density in Expert Piano Performance"

    No full text
An elite professional pianist executed a 30-minute, uninterrupted performance of seven pieces on a Yamaha P-225B digital piano in an anechoic chamber, employing the default soundbank. The repertoire featured Contrapunctus I (BWV 1080) by Bach and an excerpt from Chopin’s Ballade No. 1, Op. 23, performed from memory based on urtext editions. Key-press onset events were annotated per hand to quantify note and gesture counts, excluding legato transitions without discrete attacks. Both performances exhibited a convergent low-frequency periodicity in beat-level timing variability (tactus imprecision), oscillating at approximately 0.36 Hz. This slow temporal modulation aligns with the delta-band range of neural oscillations and may reflect a shared endogenous timing scaffold, plausibly motor in origin, underlying expressive control in skilled performance
