Psychological Comparison of Adults with Dizziness: Depression, Anxiety, and Somatization in Typical vs. Abnormal Vestibular Test Results
Introduction: The association between vestibular deficits and psychological symptoms remains controversial. Thus, this paper aims to report the psychological state of patients complaining of dizziness according to whether their symptoms are observed or not. Methods: Sixty patients with dizziness symptoms were included in the study. Videonystagmography, video head impulse test, and vestibulospinal tests were applied to all patients. 30 dizzy patients with positive findings were included in Group I, and 30 dizzy patients with typical results from all tests were included in Group II. All individuals were asked to fill out the Beck Depression Inventory, Beck Anxiety Inventory, Dizziness Handicap Inventory, and Somatization subscale of the Symptom Checklist, and the findings were compared between the two groups. The relationship between BDI, BAI, and SOM results and vHIT and DHI scores in all individuals was examined. Results: There was no significant difference between the two groups regarding depression, anxiety, and somatization. The level of disability due to dizziness was significantly higher in group II compared to group I. A significant correlation was found between DHI scores and depression and anxiety scores in all patients. Similar psychogenic effects were observed between the groups. However, individuals with dizziness who had regular vestibular tests had a higher level of disability due to dizziness. Conclusion: Evaluation of psychogenic affect and disability due to dizziness by questionnaires in dizzy individuals with regular vestibular tests can be a guide in performing advanced vestibular examinations or directing the patient to a comprehensive psychological evaluation
Global Trends in Prenatal Mosaicism Research: Insights from a Bibliometric Analysis (1980–2023)
Background: The coexistence of at least two cell lines with different genetic structures (chromosomal or single gene mutation) originating from the same zygote in an organism is defined as mosaicism. This study aimed to present a medical perspective by examining scientific articles published on diagnosis of prenatal mosaicism from a perinatal and genetic perspective with statistical methods. Methods: The source of our study is the Web of Science (WoS) database. The articles indexed between 1980-2023 were included in our research in the database, and the studies of 2024 were not included since the effect factors are not clear yet. While searching the database, the words “Prenatal Mosaicism” were used as keywords Results: We reached a total of 2124 publications by analyzing the WoS database using the term \"prenatal mosaicism\". When the citations of the documents written about prenatal mosaicism are evaluated, we found that the highest citation was made in 2022. Co-citation analysis has shown that there are 9932 authors investigating the issue of prenatal mosaicism. Collaboration and citation collaboration was observed between Mackay Memorial Hospital, National Taiwan University and National Yang Ming University. Prenatal screening and Aneuploidy were found the strongest relationship with prenatal mosaicism. Conclusions: It is observed that the publications related prenatal mosaicism are associated with prenatal diagnosis and screening and this diagnosis has the highest publication, citation and impact power

Eser, Hz. Muhammed’in (sav) hayatını ve liderlik anlayışını detaylı bir şekilde ele alarak, toplum yönetimindeki adalet, merhamet ve istişare gibi prensipleri vurgulamaktadır. Mekke'nin coğrafi ve iklimsel özellikleri, şehrin tarihini ve Hz. Muhammed'in (sav) yaşamını şekillendiren unsurlar olarak sunulmaktadır. Ayrıca, eserde İslam’ın sosyal, kültürel ve dini bağlamda toplumsal dönüşüme olan katkıları incelenmektedir. Hz. Muhammed’in (sav) liderliği, karşılaşılan zorluklara karşı gösterilen direniş ve bu süreçte ilk Müslümanların dayanışması, İslam’ın yayılmasında önemli bir rol oynamıştır. Eser, Hz. Muhammed'in (sav) öğretilerinin evrenselliğinin yanı sıra günümüzde de geçerliliğini koruyan değerleri ortaya koymaktadır. Sonuç olarak, bu çalışma, hem Hz. Muhammed’in (sav) hayatını hem de İslam'ın özünü anlamaya yardımcı olan bir kaynak olarak öne çıkmaktadır.The work thoroughly examines the life and leadership approach of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), emphasizing principles such as justice, mercy, and consultation in community governance. The geographical and climatic characteristics of Mecca are presented as elements that shaped the city's history and Muhammad's (pbuh) life. Furthermore, the book explores Islam's contributions to social, cultural, and religious transformation. Muhammad's (pbuh) leadership, the resilience shown in the face of challenges, and the solidarity of the early Muslims played a significant role in the spread of Islam. The work highlights the universality of Muhammad's (pbuh) teachings while also showcasing values that remain relevant today. Ultimately, this study stands out as a resource that aids in understanding both the life of Muhammad (pbuh) and the essence of Islam
Determination of Yield and Quality in Some Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) Cultivars Under Diyarbakır Ecological Conditions
Safflower oil is used as both cooking oil and industrial oil. Safflower is tolerant to cold, drought, and salinity conditions. This study was conducted to determine the safflower cultivars suitable for Diyarbakır ecological in conditions, and was performed during the 2014-2015, 2015-2016, and 2016-2017 growing seasons. The experiments were conducted in the trial field of “GAP International Agricultural Research and Educational Center. This experiment was designed according to the Randomized Block with three replications. Balcı, Dinçer, Linas, Olas and Remzibey-05 varieties were used in the experiment. Seeds were sown with 30 cm row spacing. In terms of three year average values, significant differences were observed at the 1 % level among the safflower varieties for plant height, head number per plant, thousand seed weight, crude oil ratio, and seed yield. According to the results, the highest seed yield was obtained in the Remzibey-05 cultivar (1882 kg ha?1), and the lowest yield was obtained from Balcı variety (1514 kg ha?1). In addition, plant height (110.2-116.7 cm), head number per plant (13.9-17.5), head diameter (2.18-2.21 cm), thousand seed weight (33.4-36.2 g), and crude oil ratio (26.67 - 35.75 %) were determined. To conclude, based on three years of study, it was observed that the Remzibey-05 cultivar could be recommended for Diyarbakır ecological conditions
Karpuz (Citrullus lanatus L.) fidesi gelişim parametreleri ve klorofil içeriği üzerine Azospirillum lipoferum ve deniz yosunu uygulamalarının etkileri
Azospirillum lipoferum (AzL) ve deniz yosunu (DY) uygulamalarının karpuz fidelerinin büyüme parametreleri ve klorofil içeriği üzerindeki etkilerini incelemek amacıyla yürütülen bu çalışma, Türkiye'deki sürdürülebilir fidecilik uygulamalarına katkı sağlamayı hedeflemiştir. Araştırma, Van Yüzüncü Yıl Üniversitesi, Ziraat Fakültesi’nde kontrollü çevre koşullarında gerçekleştirilmiş ve 'Crimson Sweet' karpuz çeşidi kullanılmıştır. Toplamda 10 farklı uygulama grubu (AzL ve DY’nin üçer dozu ile kombinasyonları ve kontrol grubu) değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuçlar, Azospirillum’un düşük dozunun (1.25 mL L-1) kök yaş ağırlığı ve klorofil miktarı gibi parametrelerde daha yüksek performans sağladığını, ancak yüksek dozlarda büyümeyi olumsuz etkileyebileceğini göstermiştir. Deniz yosunu özünün yüksek dozu (5 mL L-1), yaprak sayısı, yaprak yaş ve kuru ağırlığı ile klorofil miktarında en iyi sonuçları sağlamıştır. Kombinasyon uygulamaları, özellikle orta dozlarda (2.5 mL L-1), klorofil miktarı ve yaprak yaş ağırlığı gibi fotosentezle ilişkili parametrelerde sinerjik etkiler göstermiştir. Çalışma, Azospirillum’un rizosferde besin alımını artırma kapasitesi ile deniz yosununun biyolojik aktif bileşenlerinin birleşiminin bitki gelişimini desteklediğini ortaya koymaktadır. Gelecekte bu biyostimülantların; doz, yöntem ve çevresel koşullara göre optimize edilmesi, etkilerinin moleküler düzeyde incelenmesi ve saha denemeleri ile ekonomik analizlerinin yapılması önerilmektedir. Bu çalışmadan elde edilen sonuçların, sürdürülebilir fidecilik uygulamalarının yaygınlaşmasına katkı sağlayabileceği düşünülmektedir
Artificial intelligence, machine learning, and radiomics in lung cancer classification
Lung cancer is a highly heterogeneous disease that presents significant challenges in accurate diagnosis and classification due to its diverse histological and molecular characteristics. Traditional diagnostic methods, while valuable, are often limited by invasiveness, subjectivity, and an inability to fully capture tumor complexity. Recent advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and radiomics have transformed the field, offering enhanced precision, efficiency, and objectivity in lung cancer classification. These technologies enable detailed analyses of imaging data, histopathological findings, and molecular profiles, facilitating improved subtype identification, outcome prediction, and personalized treatment strategies. Cytopathology remains a cornerstone of lung cancer diagnostics, particularly for small biopsies and cytological samples, which are often the only materials available in advanced stages. The integration of AI-driven methods into cytopathology and radiomics workflows has shown substantial potential to overcome the limitations of traditional approaches, reduce interobserver variability, and accelerate the diagnostic process. This review underscores the transformative role of AI and radiomics in lung cancer management, highlighting their synergy in advancing precision oncology. As ongoing research continues to refine these methodologies, the future of lung cancer care is poised for significant advancements, offering improved diagnostic accuracy, personalized therapies, and better patient outcomes
Surgical treatment options for AC joint dislocation: Comparison of clinical outcomes of TightRope and hook plate methods
Acromioclavicular (AC) joint dislocations frequently occur in young and active individuals, resulting in pain, restricted movement, and functional limitations. Among surgical treatments, TightRope and hook plate methods are commonly used. However, their comparative effectiveness remains a topic of debate. To retrospectively compare the clinical outcomes of TightRope and hook plate methods in the surgical treatment of AC joint dislocations, focusing on complication rates, recovery time, and functional outcomes. This retrospective study included 60 patients (30 TightRope, 30 hook plate) treated between 2018 and 2023 for Rockwood Type III-V AC joint dislocations. Investigation of Intermolecular Interactions of 2-Acetoxybenzoic Acid with Hirshfeld Surfaces
In this study, the crystal structure and intermolecular interactions of acetoxybenzoic acid were analyzed. Through crystal structure analysis, the arrangement of carbon (C), oxygen (O), and hydrogen (H) atoms, along with their chemical bonds, was determined. It was identified that oxygen atoms impart polar character to the molecule and play a significant role in intermolecular interactions, such as hydrogen bonding. Hirshfeld surface analysis, performed using CrystalExplorer software, focused on the interactions of the molecule with solvent molecules. This analysis provided a more comprehensive understanding of molecular interactions and structure. Additionally, properties such as electron density, curvature, and surface shape indices were mapped. The structural and electronic properties of acetoxybenzoic acid were visualized, offering a deeper understanding of its chemical and physical properties. XRD analysis revealed the crystallinity of the molecule and provided detailed insights into the crystal structure through the position of the peaks. This study illuminated the molecular structure and interaction properties of acetoxybenzoic acid, contributing to predictions of reactivity at the molecular level

Türkler ve Rumlar, 1071 Malazgirt Savaşından sonra aynı topraklarını paylaşmaya başlamışlardır. Devlet yerine toplum düzeyinde yaklaşıldığında bu iki toplum, 19.yüzyıla kadar genelde barış ve huzuru korumuş ve bu iklimi daha geniş bir coğrafyada yaşatmıştır. Anadolu Selçukluları ve beylikler döneminden sonra Osmanlı Devleti de bu iklimi korumuş ve daha geniş bir coğrafyada geliştirerek yaşatmıştır. Osmanlı Devleti Türkler tarafından kurulmasına rağmen dayanmış olduğu dini ve insani ilke ya da erdemlerin de etkisiyle sadece Türklerin ya da Müslümanların değil sınırları içinde yaşayan Rum, Ermeni, Sırp, Romen ya da benzeri farklı etnik ya da dinsel toplulukların da devleti olma iddiası ve gayreti içinde olmuştur. Sakız Adası, Osmanlı Devleti yönetiminde Türklerin ve Rumların 347 yıl kadar genelde barış ve huzur içinde yaşadığı bir ada olmuştur.Osmanlı Devleti, burada resmi kurumlarını meydana getirirken ada sakinlerinin geleneksel kurumlarına ve uygulamalarına müdahale etmeyerek onların kendi iç işleyişlerine saygı göstermeyi tercih etmiştir.Böylece onların yeni yönetime uyum sağlamalarını kolaylaştırırken onlarla onların temsilcisi olan kişi ve kurumlar üzerinden iletişim kurmayı seçmiştir. Investigation of electricity generation in wind power plants in Türkiye and its modeling in artificial intelligence
Lisansüstü Eğitim Enstitüsü, Disiplinlerarası Biyomedikal Mühendisliği Ana Bilim DalıRüzgâr enerji santralleri, çevre dostu ve sürdürülebilir enerji kaynakları arasında yer alarak elektrik üretimine önemli katkılar sağlamaktadır. Rüzgârın kinetik enerjisini elektrik enerjisine dönüştüren bu santraller, enerji portföyünü çeşitlendirirken istihdam yaratmakta ve yerel ekonomilere katkıda bulunmaktadır. Teknolojik gelişmelerle birlikte maliyetler düşmekte, rüzgâr enerjisi daha rekabetçi hale gelmektedir. Hastanelerde rüzgâr enerjisi kullanımı, sürdürülebilirlik, enerji maliyetlerini azaltma ve kesintisiz hizmet sağlama açısından büyük önem taşır. Enerji kesintilerine karşı yedek kaynak sunarak hastanelerin güvenliğini artırır ve karbon ayak izini düşürerek çevresel sorumluluklarını yerine getirmelerine yardımcı olur. Savaş, pandemi ve doğal afet gibi kriz durumlarında rüzgâr enerjisi, bağımsız ve yerel bir kaynak olarak enerji güvenliğini sağlamada kritik rol oynar. Afet bölgelerinde hızlıca kurularak sağlık hizmetleri, iletişim ve barınma gibi temel ihtiyaçların karşılanmasına yardımcı olur. Ayrıca, fosil yakıtlara bağımlılığı azaltarak uzun vadeli çevresel etkileri minimize eder. Bu nedenle rüzgâr enerjisi, sürdürülebilir ve güvenilir bir enerji kaynağı olarak büyük avantajlar sunmaktadır. Yaptığımız bu çalışmada ülkemizde kurulu rüzgâr enerji santrallerine sahip illerdeki yaklaşık son on yılına ait gün gün değişen iklim koşullarını inceleyerek santrallerde ki üretilen elektrik enerjisi güçleri ve saha çalışmalarından elde edilen veriler üzerinden yapay zekâ algoritmalarını kullanıp önümüzdeki yıllarda çeşitli değişkenler göz önüne alınarak (radyasyon, nem, sıcaklık, rüzgâr) rüzgâr enerji santrallerinin üretebileceği enerji güç değerlerini tahmin edip gerçekte ortaya çıkacak enerji miktarını optimum fayda sağlayacak durumda yönlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. These plants convert the kinetic energy of the wind into electrical energy, diversifying the energy portfolio while creating employment and contributing to local economies. With technological advancements, costs are decreasing, making wind energy more competitive. The use of wind energy in hospitals is of great importance for sustainability, reducing energy costs, and ensuring uninterrupted service. It provides a backup power source against outages, enhances the security of hospitals, and helps them fulfill their environmental responsibilities by reducing their carbon footprint. In times of crisis, such as war, pandemics, and natural disasters, wind energy plays a critical role in ensuring energy security as an independent and local source. It can be rapidly deployed in disaster areas to support essential needs such as healthcare services, communication, and shelter. Additionally, by reducing dependence on fossil fuels, it minimizes long-term environmental impacts. Therefore, wind energy offers significant advantages as a sustainable and reliable energy source. In this study, we analyzed the daily changing climate conditions over the past ten years in provinces with established wind power plants in our country. Using artificial intelligence algorithms, we aimed to predict the potential energy output of wind power plants in the coming years by considering various variables (radiation, humidity, temperature, wind). Our goal is to optimize energy production by directing the generated electricity toward maximum efficiency based on real-world conditions.
