Uncovering Food Waste Behavior and Its Determinants among Students at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan
Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) plans to advance the development of a green campus at Campus 4, with food waste management identified as a key supporting component. However, student behavior related to food waste has not yet been empirically examined, highlighting the need for this study. This research employed a multiple linear regression approach using questionnaire-based data collected from 421 students across 27 study programs at UAD Campus 4. The model tested the indirect influence of materialism, knowledge, and religiosity on food waste behavior, with environmental awareness functioning as a mediating variable. The findings indicate that UAD students’ food waste behavior has an average score of 3.14, suggesting that students tend to generate relatively low amounts of food waste. The model further reveals that materialism, knowledge, and religiosity exert indirect effects on food waste, and that environmental awareness significantly mediates the relationships between these predictors and food waste behavior. This study underscores the importance of enhancing students’ environmental awareness as an effective mechanism to reduce food waste and support the realization of a green campus

Elevation Dynamics and Thermal Variations During the Eruption Phases of Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki
Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki since December 2023, the eruption status has increased, with a substantial increase in November 2024. This led to modifications in the distribution of temperature, the patterns of volcanic material flow, and the morphology of the land. The objective of this research was to examine the relationship between the elevation profiles and temperature fluctuations that occurred during the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki. This investigation illustrates the considerable impact of volcanic activity on the environment by employing satellite data-based methodologies, digital elevation models (DEMs), and thermal analysis. The results suggest that volcanic activity has a significant impact on the distribution of temperature and the alteration of geological structures. The observed temperature increase, which extends from the crater to the slopes and lowlands, has an impact on local ecosystems and atmospheric conditions. The precipitous elevation profile significantly impacts the flow pattern of volcanic material, such as lava and lahars, which can pose a disaster risk to settlements and community activities in the vicinity. This research underscores the necessity of ongoing monitoring for risk mitigation and community preparedness in volcanic disasters

Mapping the Supply Chain System of the Tolaki Coffee Industry in South Konawe Regency
The coffee agribusiness sector in South Konawe Regency has shown gradual growth with the emergence of a regionally distinctive coffee processing industry known as Tolaki Coffee. The name Tolaki Coffee is derived from the Tolaki ethnic group, the largest indigenous community in Southeast Sulawesi Province. However, since its establishment in 2016, the Tolaki Coffee industry has not demonstrated significant development compared to other well-established Indonesian specialty coffees, such as Toraja Coffee in South Sulawesi and Aceh Coffee in Aceh Province. Nevertheless, the existence of the Tolaki Coffee industry is expected to generate economic benefits for local coffee farmers, particularly through improved farm-gate prices and income enhancement. This condition provides the rationale for conducting an analysis aimed at designing a development model for the Tolaki Coffee processing industry using a supply chain approach to increase industry stakeholders’ income while strengthening farmer empowerment. This study aims to: (1) identify the supply chain system of Tolaki Coffee, and (2) analyze the performance of the Tolaki Coffee supply chain in South Konawe Regency. The research was conducted in three stages. The first stage involved analyzing the supply chain structure using quantitative descriptive analysis, followed by an assessment of supply chain efficiency using the farmer’s share analysis. The results indicate that: (1) the Tolaki Coffee supply chain system in South Konawe Regency consists of two marketing channels, namely Farmer – Collector Trader – Anoa Coffee Industry – Retailer – Consumer and Farmer – Anoa Coffee Industry – Retailer – Consumer, with processed products in the form of ground coffee and ready-to-grind coffee beans; and (2) the most efficient supply chain performance is observed in the Farmer – Anoa Coffee Industry – Retailer – Consumer channel for ground coffee products
