小型モジュール炉燃料の高燃焼度化適用性検討(第2報)
In recent years, small modular reactors have been developed in various countries around the world, and are scheduled to be put into practical use around 2030. The advantages of small modular reactors include high inherent safety and small initial investment. However, because natural circulation is used to enhance safety in the accident, it has been pointed out that the thermal efficiency is low and that economies of scale, such as those of large commercial reactors, are not available, making them fundamentally less economical. As one of the means to overcome these disadvantages, design modifications to increase the core outlet temperature and improve thermal efficiency have been considered. However, increasing the core outlet temperature is contrary to high burnup in terms of cladding corrosion and pellet-cladding interaction. Therefore, as the realization of small modular reactors approaches, we investigated the applicability of high fuel burnup using more realistic core conditions and confirmed that it is possible.departmental bulletin pape
大学教育における「コーチ育成のためのモデル・コア・カリキュラム」をもとにしたスポーツコーチング科目の授業実践
This report summarizes one of the contents of the sport coaching class based on the "Model Core Curriculum for Coach Development" in university education. Sixteen lessons of "Sport Coaching Theory" were conducted based on the "Model Core Curriculum for Coach Development". Based on the "Model Core Curriculum for Coach Development," classes can be more motivating to students than lecture-style classes through active learning class. In addition, the content related to training needs to be taught not only in "Sports Coaching Theory" but also in cooperation with other classes. フィルム型色素増感太陽電池の作製と評価 -SQ2/CDs・SQ2/SPNO2系-
In this study, we report an investigation of the fabrication and characterization of SQ2-based film-type DSSCs (SQ2 devices), SQ2/CDs (α-CD, β-CD, γ-CD:CDs) devices and SQ2/SPNO2 devices. The fabricated SQ2 devices were irradiated at 655 nm and the photoelectric conversion property (IPCE655) was observed. The IPCE655 for SQ2 devices was 2.4%, and this value was also observed for SQ2/CDs film-type devices. The IPCE655 of the SQ2/γ-CD device was 3.2% and 30% larger than that of the SQ2 device. This suggests that γ-CDsuppressed the aggregation of SQ2 and increased IPCE655. The fabricated film-type SQ2/SPNO2 devices was the IPCE655 were observed. The IPCE655 of the SQ2/SPNO2 device was less than half that of the SQ2 device, but the IPCE655 increased by 40% with UV irradiation and decreased by about 40% with visible light irradiation. The increase of IPCE655 by UV irradiation suggests that PMC is involved in the photoelectric conversion of SQ2.departmental bulletin pape

In modern society, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has experienced continual growth and become deeply ingrained in our daily lives, especially with recent advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) significantly impacting various aspects of society. However, Japan faces a significant shortage of ICT professionals, a deficit estimated at approximately 180,000 individuals in 2018, and projected to soar to around 450,000 by 2030. Therefore, the demand for information literacy and programming skills has surged. The introduction of new curriculum guidelines seeks to enrich programming education from elementary through high school levels, with programming education becoming compulsory in elementary schools. Consequently, numerous programming-related events and workshops are being conducted across various domains to foster interest and curiosity in ICT. Nonetheless, challenges persist in fostering continuous learning at subsequent educational stages, particularly in transitioning to text-based program development, task setting, and fostering problem-solving abilities, necessitating innovative approaches. This four-year study aimed at devising seamless educational strategies for transitioning first-year university students from introductory education utilizing Graphical User Interface(GUI)-based languages to programming proficiency using Character User Interface(CUI)-based languages. In cancer treatment using radiation, radiation visualization is an essential technology for accurately evaluating dose distribution. In this research, we developed a new measurement system that combines a blue organic EL light source specialized for PVA-KI gel dosimeters and a digital camera using a macro lens. Using this system, we imaged a PVA-KI gel irradiated with X-rays. The captured image was converted to RGB values. By comparing the photon count results obtained by ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy with the B value of RGB values, we clarified the relationship between the B value and the absorbed dose.departmental bulletin pape
マイクロ波試料分解容器を用いた昆虫食中の微量カドミウムの迅速分析
In the present study, we attempted to determine trace amounts of cadmium (Cd) in insect food (cricket flour) by using a method combining microwave sample decomposition and graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GF-AAS). It was confirmed that there was no contamination by a blank test, and that there was no loss of Cd during decomposition by an addition recovery experiment. From the Cd concentration in the prepared sample solution and the sample weight, the Cd content in the sample was calculated to be 0.011 μg g-1, which was almost the same as the value (0.012 μg g-1) obtained by acid circulation decomposition. This shows that the use of a microwave decomposition vessel can significantly shorten the decomposition time without compromising analytical accuracy. In the future, it is necessary to apply this decomposition method to the analysis of other heavy metals and verify its versatility and usefulness.departmental bulletin pape
記録短縮を目指す市民ランナーにおける鉄栄養状態と栄養素摂取量の関連
Marathon running enthusiasts are susceptible to anemia, necessitating careful consideration of their energy levels and nutrient intake. Despite the heightened risk of anemia among recreational marathoners, scant attention has been paid to the correlation between anemia and dietary habits within this demographic. The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between iron status and nutrient and food group intake among recreational marathon runners striving to improve their performance. Eighteen male recreational runners (40.7±12.4 years) actively pursuing record improvements participated in this research. Physical measurements, questionnaire surveys, non-invasive hemoglobin measurements, and food intake frequency surveys were conducted. Participants were categorized into two groups based on the stand value hemoglobin levels (13.0 g/dl). Those whose values were above the standard value were placed in the N-Hb group (14 participants), and those whose values were below the standard value were placed in the L-Hb group (4 participants). The results of the survey showed that the L-Hb group had a significantly lower intake of nutrients such as iodine, vitamin D, and vitamin B12. The survey also shows that the diet of the L-Hb group has statistically lower seaweed and seafood items than the N-Hb group. In conclusion, consuming seaweed and seafood, which contain nutrients such as iodine, vitamin D, and vitamin B12 may prevent low hemoglobin levels in recreational runners.departmental bulletin pape
アスリートおよびスポーツチームのサポート活動をテーマとしたPBL型授業の実践報告
This report summarizes one of the contents of the PBL (Project Based Learning) style seminar that the Sports and Health Science Department is working on. The theme of our PBL seminar is “Training support for sports teams”. This seminar was conducted in the following three stages. First, “Planning period” The stage in which individual students plan what activities they will engage in and how they will achieve their goals. When conducting measurements, participants should conduct preliminary research on themselves and conduct trial-and-error research on the feasibility of activities and measures for improvement. Second,” Trial period” During this period, students actually provide support activities for athletes and teams. Third, “Practical period” During this period, students will provide support activities for on-campus athletes and teams as well as off-campus teams. In addition, students will present the results of their activities at academic conferences and in class plenary sessions. We have supported track and field, golf, field hockey, and professional basketball teams. this project has been able to conduct a wide range of activities in various sports. In the future, we plan to increase the number of activities in cooperation with teams outside the university, such as local communities and professional teams.departmental bulletin pape
剣道防具倉庫から単離された細菌が発する悪臭物質の同定とかびの生育への影響
Bacteria-emitting malodors were detected in the kendo protective gear warehouse. In this study, structures of the malodors were analyzed by using headspace Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The results showed that various species of the bacteria commonly and mainly produced organosulfur compounds such as methanethiol, dimethyl disulfide (DMDS), and dimethyl trisulfide (DMTS) as volatile organic compounds(VOCs). When the VOCs were collected at 37°C in GC-MS, DMDS was the major substance, whereas when they were collected at 80°C, DMTS was the major one, suggesting that temperature-induced structural changes from DMDS to DMTS occurred. To clarify the function of these organosulfur compounds, the bacteria were respectively incubated with two kinds of fungi. The VOCs significantly inhibited growth of Aspergillus parasiticus 95DM as well as Penicillium citrinum MI190. The organosulfur compounds also inhibited the same fungal growth. These results indicated that these bacteria inhibit fungal growth by producing these organosulfur compounds such as DMDS and DMTS in nature.departmental bulletin pape

This paper was study of the samurai residences of the ISONO-Tamiya family and SHIBUYA-Gonzaemon family, former Matsuoka clan members. Both families lived in Osensui-Machi, the residential district of the senior samurai, for about 140 years after moving to Fukui Castle Town. Both the ISONO-Tamiya and SHIBUYA-Gonzaemon families serve as YORIAI-SEKI in the Fukui Clan. Both families were adjacent to each other in both Matsuoka and Fukui castle towns, with the Isono-Tamiya family to the north and the Shibuya-Gonzaemon family to the south.departmental bulletin pape
