Sheridan\u27s Art Hive Creates Belonging, community and Connection
Sheridan College\u27s Art Hive initiative, led by Art Fundamentals professor Kirsten Abrahamson, provides a welcoming, creative space for students, faculty, staff, and their families. Held weekly at the Trafalgar Road Campus, the Art Hive encourages participants to engage in various arts and crafts activities using donated, recycled, and upcycled materials. Rooted in art therapy, the program aims to reduce stress and anxiety while fostering a sense of belonging and community. Since its revival in 2022, the Art Hive has grown in popularity, promoting wellness, equity, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability. Plans are underway to expand the initiative to the Davis Campus in Brampton
