This research was carried out for biochemical diagnosis of fungal species taken from Thalassemic subjects in AL-Najaf City and assessment of some antifungal agents (Amphotericin B and Nystatin). From January through December 2023, fifty samples were obtained from Al-Sadr Medical City in Al_Najaf City, and only fourteen samples showed positive growth. All isolates were cultivated in on chromagar medium after culture on Sabouraud dextrose agar for identification of different species of Candida by color of the colonies. We can consider they yeast species as the most common fungal etiological agent of life threatening invasive infections in Thalassemia patients who are severely immunocompromised and treatment which requires extended stay in intensive care units Results in this study confirmed the presence of 10 colonies of C. tropicalis1(7.1%), C. parapsilosis 3(21.4%), and C. albicans 10(71.4%), and finally. In this study, C. albicans was investigated for the production of some pathogenesis factors such as biofilms and germ tubes and enzymes-phospholipase during culture of Candida spp. on several cultures. Cultivation of all samples  on Sabouraud dextrose agar SDA and then on CHROMagar medium for the purpose of diagnosing the species of Candida depending on the color of the colonies. Findings of fungal growth exhibit that C. albicans forms all pathogenic factors including phospholipase enzyme, germ tube, and biofilms. The finding of this research concerning antifungal activity for (Nystatin and Amphotercin B), shows the impacts on Candida spp. by utilizing the disk diffusion method. Findings  also exhibit that Amphotercin B exhibited more antifungal activity than Nystatin against Candida spp. he results were diagnosed on CHROMagar medium as follows: C.albicans 10(71.4%), followed by C. parapsilosis 3(21.4%), C. tropicalis1(7.1%).In this study, the ability of C.albicans was tested to produce some virulence factors such as germ tube, biofilms and production of enzymes phospholipases when culturing Candida spp. on different media

The Indonesian capital market has experienced significant development and plays an important role in supporting the national economy, especially through stock instruments that reflect company performance. This study aims to analyze the effect of Return on Asset (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Net Profit Margin (NPM) on stock prices with Price Earning Ratio (PER) as an intervening variable in Properties & Real Estate sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2021–2023. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative research type. The data used are secondary data obtained through documentation of the company's financial statements. The study population was 92 companies with a sample of 74 companies that had complete financial data during the study period. The results of the study show that ROA, ROE, and NPM have a significant effect both simultaneously and partially on stock prices through PER. The multiple correlation coefficient test shows a value of 1,000, which means a very strong relationship between variables. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 1,000 indicates that 100% of the stock price variable can be explained by ROA, ROE, and NPM through PER. The F-test and t-test show significance at the 95% confidence level. This finding indicates the importance of profitability indicators in investment decision making in the property and real estate secto

The experiment was carried out in the laboratory of the Department of Crops - faculty of Agriculture - Omar Al-Mukhtar University for 2022y, to study the effect of salt stress on the growth characteristics of the triple hybrid 253 of Zea maize crop, using a completely random design. The treatments included (0, 25, 50, and 75 mM) of NaCl by three replicates. 10 seeds were placed in each Petri dish. Measurements were taken for the growth stage of each treatment. the Results found that increasing the concentration of NaCl led to a decrease in wet-dry weight, and radical length. However, was found that there was an increase of these traits at a concentration of 50 mM compared to a concentration of 25 mM, and the growth traits decreased at a concentration of 75 mM. As well as an increase in sodium chloride concentration led to a decrease in the germination rate, germination speed, germination strength index, and plumule wet weight, The highest values were at a concentration of 0.0 mM and the lowest at a concentration of 75 mM. The decrease reached a significant degree for each of the plumule lengths and the dry weights of plumule. The highest values were at a concentration of 0.0mM and the lowest was at a concentration of 75 mM

Use of Complementary and Alternative Medicine in Cancer and Its Impact on Survival: A Systematic Review

The use of complementary and alternative medicines (CAMs) among cancer patients has increased steadily over the years in response to the search for a more comprehensive method for the relief and care of these patients. The incorporation of traditional Chinese medicines (TCM), herbs, and naturopathic medicines within the field of oncology still has an unclear effect on the survival rate. This systematic review integrates available evidence from empirical studies exploring the interface between the usage of CAM and survival benefits in relation to overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS), or quality of life (QOL) in patients with cancer. In this study, eleven peer-reviewed articles, which include randomized controlled trials, cohorts, and case series, were analyzed according to the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Data were extracted from the PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Embase database, ranging from 2000-2025. They were assessed for their quality using the RoB 2, which is the Cochrane RoB. The results showed variable findings. Studies like Johnson et al. (2018) and others, such as Ma et al. (2011), indicated a poorer outcome in patients substituting CAM for Western medication, owing largely to drug refusal. Meanwhile, the outcome showed improved OS and PFS for combined CAM strategies, starting from 30% up to 70%, as seen in studies conducted by Li et al. (2019), Xu et al. (2021), and Zhao et al. (2024). The quality of life, as well as decreased toxicity, was likewise documented. CAM, when used adjunctively, may enhance survival and well-being; however, substitution for standard care is associated with reduced survival. Integrative, patient-centered oncology models emphasizing safe, evidence-informed CAM use are recommended

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) represents a major global health challenge, marked by a gradual and irreversible decline in renal function. In this cross-sectional case–control investigation, we examined the biochemical and clinical alterations observed in CKD patients compared with age- and sex-matched healthy individuals. The study assessed key biochemical indicators including serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), glomerular filtration rate (GFR), electrolytes, calcium, phosphate, hemoglobin, hematocrit, and albumin. Additionally, common clinical manifestations such as hypertension, edema, fatigue, and dyspnea were documented. Statistical analysis revealed significant increases in creatinine, BUN, phosphate, and potassium among CKD patients (p < 0.05), while GFR, hemoglobin, hematocrit, and albumin levels were markedly decreased. Hypertension (75%) and edema (57.5%) emerged as the most prevalent clinical signs. These findings underscore the necessity of early biochemical screening and clinical monitoring to delay disease progression and minimize complications

The purpose of this research is to find out and describe: 1) The Gorontalo City Government Policy in the Sub-district Head Appointment Model in the Gorontalo City Regional Government Environment. 2) Factors that determine the success of the sub-district head appointment model in Gorontalo City. The approach used in this research is qualitative with descriptive qualitative methods. By involving informants who are in accordance with the capacity related to the focus and sub-focus of the research. The informants consist of authorized officials such as personnel development officials, regional secretaries, heads of regional personnel agencies, and sub-district heads. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the concept of Miles and Huberman which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or checks. As a conclusion in this research is, 1. The Sub-district Head Appointment Model in Gorontalo City, has not fully complied with the provisions of Article 224 of Law Number 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Government, which is based on a). Educational Background, namely not all sub-district heads appointed to office are those who master the technical aspects of government as evidenced by a bachelor's degree/diploma in government science or a civil service certificate. b). The selection method, carried out in a closed manner in accordance with regulatory provisions, but it is best to do it with an open method because the sub-district head position is a public position that is in direct contact with the community. c). The availability of resources exceeds the number of seats or sub-district head positions available, but the appointed apparatus does not fully match the qualifications. The bureaucratic structure is through the Mayor's policy to transfer to the Personnel Agency or the performance assessment team (TPK). Furthermore, the TPK conducts a selection of ASN who meet the requirements to be recommended to the Mayor for appointment as sub-district heads
