Study on marketing communications to reduce aversion to self-driving cars
Consumer products and services are targeted to a small group of consumers, but social services cannot be limited to a specific group of consumers. The introduction of a social service will be delayed if public opinion is averse to the service. The introduction of social services requires marketing communication that is not disliked. Therefore, this study investigated the age of advertising models that are not disliked by public opinion for automated vehicles. Results of a randomized controlled trial in an online survey environment revealed that using an older demographic in the advertising model decreases aversion.
