Pembuatan Briket Tongkol Jagung di desa Sapanang Kabupaten Jeneponto
Sapanang Village is a village located in Binamu District, Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi Province. One of the livelihoods of the people in Sapanang Village is derived from agricultural products, agricultural commodities that are often cultivated, one of which is corn. However, behind the large number of cultivated corn plants, it produces waste called corn cobs. Corn cobs are sometimes simply thrown away by the community, therefore the solution offered regarding the corn cob waste problem is to make corn cob briquettes which are an environmentally friendly solid alternative fuel. The service method used in this work program is to prepare the necessary tools and materials and then socialize how to make corncob briquettes to the public. From the socialization that has been carried out, it can be the answer to the problem regarding corn cob waste that is simply wasted which is used to become something useful, such as being processed into corn cob briquettes as an environmentally friendly, cost-effective and long-lasting fuel. The work program activities that have been implemented have been carried out well and received a positive response.Desa Sapanang merupakan Desa yang terletak di Kecamatan Binamu, Kabupaten Jeneponto, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Mata pencaharian masyarakat di Desa Sapanang salah satunya yaitu berasal dari hasil pertanian, komoditi pertanian yang sering dibudidayakan salah satunya tanaman jagung. Akan tetapi dibalik banyaknya tanaman jagung yang dibudidayakan, menghasilkan limbah yang disebut tongkol jagung. Tongkol jagung ini pun kadang dibuang begitu saja oleh masyarakat, oleh karena itu solusi yang ditawarkan mengenai masalah limbah tongkol jagung adalah membuat briket tongkol jagung yang merupakan bahan bakar alternative berbentuk padat ramah lingkungan. Adapun metode pengabdian yang dilakukan pada program kerja ini yaitu sebelumnya menyiapkan alat dan bahan yang diperlukan kemudian menyosialisasikan cara pembuatan briket tongkol jagung kepada masyarakat. Dari sosialisasi yang telah dilaksanakan dapat menjadi jawaban atas permasalahan mengenai limbah tongkol jagung yang terbuang begitu saja yang dimanfaatkan menjadi sesuatu yang berguna seperti diolah menjadi briket tongkol jagung sebagai bahan bakar ramah lingkungan, hemat biaya dan tahan lama. Adapun kegiatan program kerja yang telah dilaksanakan ini terlaksana dengan baik serta mendapatkan respon yang positif
Inovasi Biopori Sebagai Solusi Genangan Air di Desa Waelawi, Kecamatan Malngke Barat, Kabupaten Luwu Utara: Biopori: Solusi Cerdas Mengatasi Genangan Air dengan Resapan Alami
Flooding is a natural disaster that frequently occurs in Waelawi Village. Biopori Infiltration Holes offer a practical solution to this problem. This community service activity aimed to socialize the concept of biopori infiltration holes and their application within the community. In addition to increasing the soil's water absorption capacity, the application of biopori infiltration holes can also enhance soil fertility. The methods used included delivering informational material and conducting a direct demonstration of how to apply the biopori infiltration holes. The activity results showed a high level of enthusiasm from the community. Participants of the socialization expressed their willingness to try and independently implement this biopori innovation. Through this program, a total of 4 biopori pipes were successfully installed in Waelawi Village, each with specifications of approximately ±70 cm in length and 3 inches in diameter per unit. Thus, this activity contributed to raising community awareness in managing water stagnation as a step to minimize the risk of flood disasters.Bencana banjir merupakan bencana alam yang sering terjadi di Desa Waelawi. Lubang Resapan Biopori menjadi salah satu solusi praktis dari permasalahan ini. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mensosialisasikan tentang lubang resapan biopori dan cara pengaplikasiannya di lingkungan masyarakat. Selain mampu meningkatkan daya serap tanah terhadap air, pengaplikasian lubang resapan biopori juga dapat meningkatkan kesuburan tanah. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyampaian materi serta demonstrasi langsung pengaplikasian lubang resapan biopori. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan antusiasme yang tinggi dari masyarakat. Peserta sosialisasi menyatakan kesediaan untuk mencoba dan menerapkan secara mandiri inovasi biopori ini. Jumlah pipa bipori yang berhasil dipasang di Desa Waelawi melalui program kerja ini berjumlah 4 buah dengan spesifikasi panjang ±70 cm dengan diameter 3 inci per unit Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dalam pengendalian genangan air sebagai langkah meminimalisir resiko terjadinya bencana banjir
10.70124 TRANSFORMASI SUNGAI MELALUI INISIATIF KEPEMUDAAN: STUDI KASUS PENGEMBANGAN EKOWISATA MUNCUL FUN TUBING OLEH KARANG TARUNA DI DESA ROWOBONI, KABUPATEN SEMARANG
ABSTRACT
This article analyzes the unique phenomenon of transforming a river into an ecotourism destination through youth initiatives. The main case study is Muncul Fun Tubing (MFT), a river tubing tourism site located in Dusun Muncul, Rowoboni Village, Banyubiru District, Semarang Regency. This research aims to examine the historical and managerial processes behind the development of MFT and to evaluate its social, economic, and environmental impacts.Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with the managers, participatory observation, and document study. The study found that MFT originated from an unexpected initiative in 2007, when residents creatively used old tires to transport materials for repairing a damaged embankment. This activity later inspired the idea of tourism, which was formally managed by Karang Taruna Tirta Aji in 2016. The main findings highlight multidimensional impacts: economically, MFT generates significant income for youth managers and creates economic opportunities for local MSMEs. Ecologically, the use of the river as a tourism asset has fostered greater awareness of conservation and environmental cleanliness (Lemon8-app, 2023). Socially, MFT serves as a platform for youth empowerment, strengthens multi-actor collaboration (Karang Taruna, Village Government, Pokdarwis), and offers unique services such as therapy for individuals with autism and people with mental disorders (Prihadi, 2023; Radar Semarang, 2022). It is concluded that Muncul Fun Tubing represents a successful model of community-based tourism that transforms natural assets into sustainable economic and social resources through youth leadership.Artikel ini menganalisis fenomena unik transformasi sungai menjadi destinasi ekowisata melalui inisiatif kepemudaan. Studi kasus utama adalah Muncul Fun Tubing (MFT), sebuah objek wisata river tubing yang berlokasi di Dusun Muncul, Desa Rowoboni, Kecamatan Banyubiru, Kabupaten Semarang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji proses historis dan manajerial di balik pengembangan MFT serta mengevaluasi dampak sosial, ekonomi, dan lingkungan yang ditimbulkannya. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pengelola, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumen.
Studi menemukan bahwa MFT berawal dari inisiatif tak terduga pada tahun 2007, ketika warga secara kreatif menggunakan ban bekas untuk mengangkut material perbaikan tanggul yang jebol. Aktivitas ini kemudian memicu gagasan wisata yang secara formal dikelola oleh Karang Taruna Tirta Aji pada tahun 2016. Temuan utama menunjukkan dampak multidimensi: secara ekonomi, MFT menciptakan pendapatan signifikan bagi pemuda pengelola dan peluang ekonomi bagi UMKM lokal. Secara ekologis, pemanfaatan sungai sebagai aset wisata mendorong penguatan kesadaran akan konservasi dan kebersihan lingkungan (Lemon8-app, 2023); dan secara sosial, MFT berfungsi sebagai wadah pemberdayaan pemuda, memperkuat kolaborasi multi-aktor (Karang Taruna, Pemerintah Desa, Pokdarwis), dan menawarkan layanan unik berupa terapi bagi penderita autis dan Orang Dengan Gangguan Jiwa (ODGJ) (Prihadi, 2023; Radar Semarang, 2022). Disimpulkan bahwa Muncul Fun Tubing merupakan model sukses pariwisata berbasis komunitas yang mentransformasi aset alam menjadi aset ekonomi dan sosial yang berkelanjutan melalui kepeloporan kaum muda
Peningkatan Pengetahuan dan Keterampilan Kelompok Tani dalam Pembuatan Pupuk Kompos dari Batang dan Kulit Pisang sebagai Alternatif Pupuk Kimia Mahal
The high cost of chemical fertilizers often hinders optimal agricultural production. The solution lies in organic compost fertilizers made from local materials such as banana stems and peels. However, the farmer group partners have not yet mastered its production. This PKM aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of farmer groups in making compost from banana stems and peels. The method used involves training and mentoring through stages: discussion, site preparation, tools and materials, implementation of extension activities and practice, and monitoring. The results show that partners exhibited very good responses and participation, and felt that their knowledge and skills in producing such compost had increased.Biaya pupuk kimia yang mahal sering menghambat produksi pertanian optimal. Solusinya adalah pupuk organik kompos dari bahan lokal seperti batang dan kulit pisang. Namun, mitra kelompok tani belum menguasai pembuatannya. PKM ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pembuatan kompos batang pisang dan kulit pisang bagi kelompok tani. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan melalui tahapan: diskusi, persiapan lokasi, alat dan bahan, pelaksanaan penyuluhan serta praktik, dan monitoring. Hasilnya, mitra menunjukkan respons dan partisipasi sangat baik, serta merasa pengetahuan dan keterampilan mereka bertambah dalam memproduksi kompos tersebut
Penerapan Teknologi Tepat guna pada Budidaya dan Penanganan Pascapanen Tanaman Padi Organik
Rice is a major commodity as a source of carbohydrates for the Indonesian people. Efforts to increase rice production have been made by the government, but these have not been matched by optimal harvesting and post-harvest handling, resulting in high yield losses of nearly 10%. Data from the Central Statistics Agency (2024) shows that rice harvest losses reach 9.5% during harvesting and 4.8% during the post-harvest stage, which has the potential to reduce national grain production, currently recorded at around 65 million tonnes of grain. The Tompobulu sub-district, Bantaeng Regency, has around 1,000 hectares of rice fields at an altitude of ±500 metres above sea level with small plots and a terraced pattern. The main problems faced by organic rice farmers in this area are low knowledge of cultivation, organic fertiliser production, and good post-harvest handling. These conditions cause high yield losses, both quantitatively and qualitatively, which do not provide economic incentives for farmers to increase their income. Paddy with high moisture content is also easily damaged and increases yield losses. Appropriate and location-specific post-harvest handling is needed to reduce yield losses and improve grain quality. In areas with narrow land ownership and hilly topography, appropriate technology in the form of power threshers is a suitable solution, as modern harvesting equipment such as combine harvesters cannot operate effectively in terraced rice fields.Padi merupakan komoditas utama sebagai sumber karbohidrat bagi masyarakat Indonesia. Upaya peningkatan produksi padi telah dilakukan pemerintah, namun belum diimbangi dengan penanganan panen dan pascapanen yang optimal sehingga tingkat kehilangan hasil masih tinggi, mendekati 10%. Data BPS (2024) menunjukkan susut panen padi mencapai 9,5% saat panen dan 4,8% pada tahap pascapanen, yang berpotensi menurunkan produksi gabah nasional yang saat ini tercatat sekitar 65 juta ton GKG. Kecamatan Tompobulu, Kabupaten Bantaeng, memiliki sekitar 1.000 ha lahan sawah pada ketinggian ±500 mdpl dengan petakan kecil dan pola terasering. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi petani padi organik di wilayah ini adalah rendahnya pengetahuan tentang budidaya, pembuatan pupuk organik, serta penanganan pascapanen yang baik. Kondisi tersebut menyebabkan tingginya susut hasil, baik secara kuantitatif maupun kualitatif, sehingga tidak memberikan insentif ekonomi bagi petani untuk meningkatkan pendapatan. Gabah dengan kadar air tinggi juga mudah rusak dan memperbesar kehilangan hasil. Penanganan pascapanen yang tepat dan berbasis spesifik lokasi diperlukan untuk menekan susut hasil dan meningkatkan kualitas gabah. Pada wilayah dengan kepemilikan lahan sempit dan topografi perbukitan, teknologi tepat guna berupa mesin perontok gabah (power thresher) menjadi solusi yang sesuai, karena alat panen modern seperti combine harvester tidak dapat beroperasi secara efektif di daerah persawahan terasering
Scopus based bibliometric analysis of margarine for the period of 2012-2021
Margarine is an important fat-based food product widely consumed worldwide, and its formulation has evolved toward improved nutritional and functional properties. This study aimed to perform a bibliometric analysis of margarine-related scientific publications indexed in the Scopus database over the period 2012-2021. The data were collected using the keyword “margarine” in titles, abstracts, and keywords, followed by filtering based on subject area, language, and publication period. A total of 204 publications were selected and analyzed using Microsoft Excel and VOSviewer to evaluate publication trends, leading countries, authors, journals, funding organizations, and keyword co-occurrence networks. The results showed a gradual increase in publications, with a noticeable rise in 2020-2021. Research articles accounted for 87% of all publications, indicating the experimental nature of studies in this field. The United States and Brazil were identified as the leading contributors, while journals such as Food Chemistry and Nutrients demonstrated high citation impact. Co-authorship and keyword analyses revealed limited international collaboration and a strong focus on topics such as trans-fat reduction, functional ingredients, and fat substitutes. In conclusion, although the number of publications has increased in recent years, the overall volume of research remains limited. The findings highlight the need for stronger international collaboration, increased research funding, and further studies aimed at improving the quality and functionality of margarine products
Pemberdayaan Kelompok Wanita PKK Pesisir Melalui Sosialisasi dan Pelatihan Pembuatan VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) di Kelurahan Panyuran: Empowering Coastal PKK Women's Groups in Panyuran Village through Training and Socialization in VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) Production
The coastal areas of Tuban Regency have abundant coconut commodity potential, but its utilization by the community, particularly the PKK Women's Group in Panyuran Village, remains limited to the sale of raw materials, resulting in relatively low economic added value. This community service activity aims to empower PKK Women's Groups by providing outreach and training in the production of Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO), a value-added coconut product. The method used is to spread science and technology through counseling, demonstrations, hands-on training, and mentoring. The activity evaluation used pre- and post-activity questionnaires to assess changes in participants' knowledge, skills, and interests. The activity resulted in an improvement in participants' understanding of VCO, its health and economic benefits, and mastery of the basic stages of VCO production. The majority of participants stated that they could practice VCO production independently and were interested in starting VCO-based home businesses. This activity has benefited coastal communities by enhancing their capacity, opening up business opportunities based on local potential, and promoting economic empowerment and sustainable management of coconut resource.Wilayah pesisir Kabupaten Tuban memiliki potensi komoditas kelapa yang melimpah, namun pemanfaatannya oleh masyarakat, khususnya kelompok Wanita PKK di Kelurahan Panyuran, masih terbatas pada penjualan bahan mentah sehingga nilai tambah ekonomi relatif rendah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan kelompok Wanita PKK melalui sosialisasi dan pelatihan pembuatan Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) sebagai produk olahan kelapa bernilai tambah. Metode yang digunakan adalah difusi ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi (ipteks) melalui penyuluhan, demonstrasi, pelatihan praktik langsung, serta pendampingan. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner pra dan pasca kegiatan untuk mengukur perubahan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan minat peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pada pemahaman peserta mengenai VCO, manfaat kesehatan dan ekonominya, serta penguasaan tahapan pembuatan VCO secara sederhana. Sebagian besar peserta menyatakan mampu mempraktikkan pembuatan VCO secara mandiri dan menunjukkan minat untuk mengembangkan usaha rumahan berbasis VCO. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif dalam peningkatan kapasitas masyarakat pesisir, membuka peluang usaha berbasis potensi lokal, serta mendukung pemberdayaan ekonomi dan pengelolaan sumber daya kelapa secara berkelanjutan
A comprehensive review of plant-based meal replacements as a low-calorie solution for weight management
Meal replacement can be the preferred option over the regular meal during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The convenience of meal replacement products contributes to the popularity not only for working adults, but meal replacement also appeals to individuals with hectic schedules and those juggling household responsibilities. Meal replacement products often contain a combination of important nutrients focused on providing a balanced and convenient alternative to traditional and regular meals. These products typically include a combination of protein, carbohydrates, healthy fats, vitamins and minerals, as well as dietary fibres to meet the nutritional requirements of the body. There are also a number of meal replacement products with distinct ingredients to fit the preferences of the individuals. Despite its popularity, there are still different perceptions of individuals towards meal replacement products. In this review, the types of meal replacement products as well as the ingredients and benefits of the meal replacements and traditional meal has been compared. Furthermore, the effectiveness of meal replacement intake on satiety has also been studied. Satiety is defined as the period between meals that reduces appetite and discourages overeating. Besides that, the effectiveness of meal replacement products on weight loss and metabolic health has been explored. Finally, the benefits and drawbacks of meal replacement products has been discussed in detail
INOVASI TEKNOLOGI TEPAT GUNA ALAT PENABUR PUPUK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRODUKTIVITAS PERTANIAN DI DESA ROWOBONI
An appropiate technology innovation in the form of a simple fertilizer spreader has been introduced to farmers in Rowoboni Village through the Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata, KKN) of UIN Walisongo Semarang. This tool is designed using easily accessible and affordable materials, such as PVC pipes, with the aim of facilitating the fertilization process in agricultural fields. The implementation method includes nees observation, tool design, construction, and demonstration to farmers in two hamlets. The result of the implementation showed a positive response from the farmers, who experienced time efficiency, labor savings, and more even fertilizer distribution. This innovation has proven to improve agricultural productivity and reduce farmer’s worklod, thus having the potential to provide sustainable.

Alat ini dirancang menggunakan bahan-bahan yang mudah didapat dan terjangkau, seperti pipa PVC, dengan tujuan mempermudah proses pemupukan di lahan pertanian. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi observasi kebutuhan, perancangan alat, pembuatan, hingga demonstrasi kepada petani di dua dusun. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan respon positif dari petani, yang merasakan efisiensi waktu, penghematan tenaga, serta distribusi pupuk yang lebih merata. Inovasi ini terbukti mampu meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian dan mengurangi beban kerja petani, sehingga berpotensi memberikan manfaat berkelanjutan bagi masyarakat desa.

Penyuluhan tentang Pentingnya Mencantumkan Tanggal Kaduluarsa pada Kemasan Produk Kerupuk Amplang di Desa Kertasada, Sumenep
In the market, it often happens that the packaging for Amplang cracker products already has an expiration date in the form of a list of months and years, but the list of months and years is still not checked. This service aims to provide an understanding of the importance of including an expiration date on the packaging of Amplang cracker products. The method of this service uses lectures and discussions about the reasons why it is essential to include an expiration date, the expiration time of fish cracker products, the benefits of having an expiration date on the packaging for producers and consumers, and the health impacts if consumers consume expired packaged food products. It's crucial to be aware that consuming expired products can have profound health implications, underscoring the need for caution. The results of this outreach had an impact on the Amplang UD cracker UKM. Putri, from initially not checking the expiration month and year, became committed to always checking the expiration month and year of products.Di pasaran sering terjadi pada kemasan produk krupuk amplang sudah terdapat deretan bulan dan tahun namun deratan bulan dan tahun tersebut tidak diceklist. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pemahaman pentingnya mencantumkan tanggal kadaluarsa pada kemasan produk kerupuk amplang. Metode dari pengabdian ini menggunakan ceramah dan diskusi tentang tentang alasan pentingnya mencantumkan tanggal kadaluarsa, waktu kadaluarsa produk kerupuk ikan, keuntungan adanya tanggal kadaluarsa dalam kemasan bagi produsen dan konsumen, dan dampak kesehatan jika konsumen mengonsumsi produk makan kemasan yang kadaluarsa. Hasil dari penyuluhan ini berdampak pada UKM kerupuk Amplang UD. Putri, dari yang awalnya tidak men-ceklist bulan dan tahun kadaluarsa, menjadi berkomitmen untuk selalu men-ceklist bulan dan tahun kadaluarsa produknya
