KÜRESEL SORUNLAR EKONOMİK KRİZLERİN ULUSLARARASI YANSIMALARI
Full text linkThe aim of this study is to search impacts of economic crisis arising in some countries in the previous years in the world history and at globalization process on other countries, and differences between interactions in developed or developing countries.
With this research, it is analyzed by the rates of change caused by crisis experienced in some countries on the economic data of both the country where the crisis arouse and the other countries. It targets to reveal the reflections observed in the economic and social perspective of the world as a result of the globalization.
Primarily, information is given about economic crisis concept in general sense and major important crises arose in the world. Then, the biggest financial crises experienced namely 1929 Great Depression and 2008 World Economic Crises are examined by taking differences among their outbreak reasons, impacts, outcomes and durations as sample.
With this study, impacts of the crises in developed countries are evaluated particularly as downward trend in profitability rates, decrease in international commercial activities in the national economies in developing countries, decrease in production, falling exportation rates and economic difficulties in society on the other hand.
The globalization system is analyzed in terms of crises by searching the reflections of these crises in the background of downward trend created in the employment rates of countries.
Jel Codes: F6Bu çalışmanın amacı dünya tarihinde önceki yıllarda ve küreselleşme sürecinde bazı ülkelerde ortaya çıkan ekonomik krizlerin diğer ülkeler üzerindeki etkileri ve gelişmiş ya da gelişmekte olan ülkelerdeki etkilenmeler arasındaki farkları araştırmaktır.
Bu araştırma ile bazı ülkelerde yaşanan krizlerin hem ortaya çıktığı ülkenin hem de diğer ülkelerin ekonomik verileri üzerinde oluşturduğu değişim oranlarına göre analiz yapılmaktadır.
Küreselleşme sonucunda dünyanın ekonomik ve sosyal perspektifinde gözlemlenen yansımaları ortaya çıkarmayı hedeflemektedir. Öncelikle genel olarak ekonomik kriz kavramı ve dünyada meydana gelen önemli büyük krizler hakkında bilgi verilmektedir. Daha sonra yaşanan en büyük finansal krizler olarak bilinen 1929 Büyük Buhran ve 2008 Dünya Ekonomik Krizlerinin başlama nedenleri, etkileri, sonuçları ve süreleri arasındaki farklar örnek alınarak incelenmektedir.
Bu çalışma ile krizlerin gelişmiş ülkelerdeki etkilerinin özellikle karlılık oranlarında düşme eğilimi görülmesi, diğer taraftan gelişmekte olan ülke ekonomilerinde uluslararası ticari faaliyetlerinde azalma, üretimin azalması, ihracat oranlarının düşmesi ve toplumsal olarak ekonomik güçlükler ortaya çıkması değerlendirilmektedir.
Ülkelerin istihdam oranlarında yaratılan düşme eğiliminin arka planında bu krizlerin yansımaları araştırılarak küreselleşme sistemi bir de krizler açısından irdelenmektedir.

Full text linkEffective use of time is very important to increase both the productivity and productivity of the individual. Time usage periods of individuals are very important in time management. In this study, it was tried to determine whether there is a statistically significant difference in the intensity of daily work according to gender. For this purpose, the data of the time usage survey conducted for 2014-2015 in the TURKSTAT database were taken into consideration. In the time usage research, certain periods of time were analyzed under 10 main activitiesZamanın etkin kullanılması bireyin hem üretkenliğinin hem de verimliliğinin artırılabilmesi için oldukça önemlidir. Bireylerin zamanı yönetiminde, zaman kullanım süreleri oldukça önemlidir. Bu çalışmada cinsiyete göre günlük işlerin yoğunluğunda istatistiksel olarak bir farklılık olup olmadığı belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu amaçla TUİK veri tabanında en son 2014-2015 yılı için yapılan zaman kullanım araştırması verileri dikkate alınmıştır. Zaman kullanım araştırmasında 10 ana faaliyet başlığı altında zamanın belli dönemleri (hafta içi, hafta sonu vb.) dikkate alınarak yüzdelik olarak verilen yoğunluklara ait dağılım kullanılmıştır.  
ROLE OF TEAMWORK FOR ACTIVE LEARNING IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING EDUCATION
Full text linkIn engineering education, a project can rarely be completed without the involved students having to read extensively and search for extra information not available in their textbooks, lecture notes, or laboratory manuals. Students have to find extra information for their research-projects and combine them with their knowledge from the other courses. This important objective opens students’ eyes to the realization that the degree by which they have digested the fundamental ideas of their core lessons will dictate their ability to access more knowledge because they appear to face paradoxes when confronting new situations. The merits of teamwork have been sacrificed for the sake of giving the student a very clear idea of the meaning of scientific research and significance of published material. It is expected to aid the student in a future research-oriented career. Teamwork will increase the amount of time spent on out-of-class learning as defined by the student, can be more effective than in-class time, particularly if the focus is learning on higher order learning. Music is powerful and has a multifaceted influence on everyday life. It, among other things, is also an important part of television advertising. The purpose of advertising is known to be for perusading costumer in product quality, but to achieve this effect, music should be well combined with the right advertisement.It is significant for consumers to understand the advertising message, where the link to an emotional level can lead directly to the purchase. So, the best commercials are those that have both major effects: information and emotional power. This study was conducted through site work, surveying some of the managers of the largest commercial companies in Peja and their customers as well. ELECTROCHEMICAL DETERMINATION OF THE INTERACTION BETWEEN ANTICANCER DRUG CAPECITABINE AND DNA BY CARBON PASTE ELECTRODE
Full text linkIn this study, the interaction of an anticancer drug, Capecitabine with DNA was investigated by electrochemical methods using carbon paste electrode (CPE). The interaction of Capecitabine with single-stranded Calf thymus DNA (ss DNA) and double-stranded Calf thymus DNA (ds DNA) at electrode surface, or in solution phase was investigated by monitoring the changes at the oxidation signal of guanin base of DNA measured by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) technique. Impedimetric measurements were performed by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy technique that also confirmed that ds DNA was immobilized onto the electrode surface. The detection limit (DL) in the case of interaction of Capecitabine with dsDNA and ssDNA interaction was calculated and found to be 17.35µg/mL and 17.12µg/mL, respectively
VOLTAMMETRIC ANALYSIS OF TAMOXIFEN RECOVERY AND ITS INTERACTION WITH DNA
Full text linkThe design of biosensors is one of the most important areas of analytical chemistry today, and interest in DNA-based bio (nano) sensors developed to examine applications related to compound-DNA interaction has been increasing in the last two decades. Changing in DNA structure, even for therapeutic purposes, can have serious effects on human health. The detection of any chemical substances in DNA sutructure is very important. In this study, an anticancer drug Tamoxifen (TAM) is used in the treatment of cancer since the early 1970s was identifying the possible DNA interaction during treatment by using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) based on both TAM and guanine oxidation signals at the disposable pencil graphite electrode (PGE). The effect of TAM on single stranded (ss)-DNA and double stranded (ds)-DNA showed differences, depending on the double helix and single stranded structure. It was found that TAM interacting to ds-DNA more strongly than ss-DNA. Thus, Drug-DNA interaction analysis has been investigated for the first time under optimized conditions with the Tamoxifen which, gave an oxidation peak potential near the guanine oxidation area. These results presented that the developed DNA biosensor could be detected TAM-DNA interaction as a sensitive, rapid and cost effective way. MARİLYN LEVİNE VE HİPERREALİST HEYKELLERİ
Full text linkMarilyn Levine is a Canadian American ceramic artist who lived between 1935-2005. Completing her bachelor's and masters degrees in chemistry and working as a teacher for a while, she took lectures of drawing, ceramic, painting and history of art in the Saskatchewan University, and after completing her MS degree in the University of California in the deparment of sculpture she got appointed to Utah University, the depertment of sculpture as an instructor.
Levine, who participated in the Ceramic Funk Art Movement in the late 60s, by deploying the illusion technique produced leather-looking ceramic scupltures that appeared in the 'Sharp-Focus Realism' exhibition that took place in in 1971 in the Sidney Janis Gallery in New York, and with that she managed to be one in the very first three names of American Hyperrealist Sculpture together with John De Andrea and Duane Hunson. In our article, the siginifance and place of Marilyn Levine in Hyperrealism will be touched on with a look at her life and art.Marilyn Levine 1935 -2005 yılları arasında yaşamış Kanada kökenli Amerikalı bir seramik sanatçısıdır. Lisans ve yüksek lisansını kimya alanında tamamlayan ve bir süre öğretmenlik yapan Levine, ardından Saskatchewan Üniversitesi Regina Kampüsünde çizim, seramik, resim ve sanat tarihi dersleri almış ve Kaliforniya Üniversitesi Heykel Bölümü’nde yüksek lisansını tamamladıktan sonra 1973 yılında Utah Üniversitesi Heykel Bölümü’ne öğretim üyesi olarak atanmıştır.
1960’lı yılların sonunda Seramik Funk Art akımı içerisinde yer alan Levine’in, illüzyon tekniğini başarıyla kullandığı deri görünümlü seramik heykelleri 1971 yılında New York'ta Sidney Janis Galerisi'nde düzenlenen "Sharp-Focus Realism " sergisinde yer almış ve böylece Marilyn Levine, Andrea ve Duane Hunson’la John De birlikte Amerikan Hiperrealizminin heykel alanındaki ilk üç isminden biri olmuştur. THE REPRESENTATION OF DASEIN’S AWARENESS OF DEATH IN LOUIS DE BERNIÉRES’ NOVEL BIRDS WITHOUT WINGS
Full text linkThroughout the human history, people have searched the ways of being different and unique. This quest has shaped various literary representations of uniqueness and especially in the postmodern period this concern gains more ground. Particularly, Heidegger’s theory of Dasein becomes most appealing, as Dasein’s difference and uniqueness emerges with his awareness. His level of awareness determines his status among ordinary people. His decisions and behaviours prepare him to become Dasein. The switch from everyday mode to authentic mode takes place through questioning. Authentic mode brings another level of awareness which establishes Dasein’s difference and characteristics. His awareness brightens his difference even in most terrific, outrageous situations such as the experience of death.
This study focuses on Louis de Berniéres’ novel Birds Without Wings which depicts death as the most personal, unique and traumatic experience in one’s life. The novelist reveals how this trauma, experienced by his characters, leads to great suffering and pain. Using Heidegger’s perspective, Louis de Berniéres depicts Dasein’s difference during this experience. His awareness of his fragmentariness and his acknowledgement of his loneliness in this universe thwart the attempt to complete himself. This fragmentariness makes him Dasein. It is the reason that he accepts and embraces death of others. On another level, he embraces his own death, death of the self. This study considers mostly Georgio P. Theodorou from Birds Without Wings, a character who is beyond limitations as a Dasein, as he grasps the meaning of death and makes the readers aware of his dying process. WILLIAM BLAKE – HAYAL GÜCÜ VE SONSUZ BEDEN
Full text linkWilliam Blake (1757-1827), who still has a great influence on contemporary art with his paintings and poems enlightened with a foresighted nature of imagination, is one of the artists who deserves to be mentioned in our intersection of time and space. The artist, who lived between the second half of the 18th century and the first quarter of the 19th century, handled the movement of the period of socio-cultural and political crises as an eclectic phenomenon, and has opened the doors of a unique and extraordinary World with his powerful illustrations placed around his poems and engrawings. Blake, who tried to visualize the invisible reality visible, had persistently avoided being manipulated by any strong person or group and continued to work with great devotion and spiritual humility. It will be helpful to understand the impact of his work and to examine the time Blake experienced in order to comprehend the rhetorical and illuminating plane of motion developed by him.Hayal gücünün öngörülü doğasıyla aydınlatıp oluşturduğu resimler ve yazdığı şiirlerle, yaşadığı çağın çok ilerisi demek olan günümüz sanatı üzerinde bile halen büyük etkiye sahip William Blake (1757 – 1827), Uzay Zaman içinde kesiştiğimiz bu boyutta, kendisinden ve yapıtlarından söz edilmeyi en çok hak eden sanatçılardan biridir. 18 yy’ın ikinci yarısı ile 19 yy’ın birinci çeyreği arasında yaşamış olan sanatçı, dönemin sosyo-kültürel ve politik buhranları sebebiyle oluşan devinimi eklektik bir fenomen olarak ele almış, şiirleri ve gravürlerinin etrafına ustaca yerleştirdiği güçlü illüstrasyonları ile eşsiz ve sıradışı bir dünyanın kapılarını açmıştır. Görünmeyen gerçekliği görünür kılmaya çalışan sanatçı, herhangi güçlü bir kişi ya da zümrenin himayesinde olup manipüle ediliyor olmaktan ısrarla kaçınmış, büyük bir özveri ve ruhani bir tevazuyla çalışmalarına devam etmiştir. Eserlerinin oluşturduğu etkiyi anlamak ve buradan hareketle Blake’in geliştirdiği retorik ve aydınlatıcı hareket düzlemini kavramak için yaşadığı zamanı incelemek yol gösterici olacaktır
AKTİF KARLILIĞA ETKİ EDEN FAKTÖRLERİN PANEL VERİ ANALİZİ YÖNTEMİYLE BELİRLENMESİ
Full text linkBusinesses measure performance to determine the level of achievement of goals, and the success of a business is assessed by performance measurement. Although there are many performance criteria that can be used in performance measurement, the most commonly used method is financial performance measurement in terms of providing accurate and objective results. Financial performance measurement is based on financial analysis. Ratio analysis is one of the oldest and most important financial analysis techniques used in the evaluation of enterprises. As one of the most widely used financial performance indicators in the literature is asset profitability, the factors that affect it are tried to be determined. The financial data of the 35 companies which constitute the research sample covering the period of 1998-2017 were examined with Panel Data Analysis. According to the research findings, while active turnover rate, asset size and stock turnover rate affect ROA statistically significant and positively, growth in active, working capital turnover rate and leverage ratio have a statistically significant and negative effect.İşletmeler belirlenen amaçlara ne düzeyde ulaştıklarını tespit edebilmek için performans ölçümü yapmaktadır ve bir işletmenin başarısı performans ölçümü ile değerlendirilmektedir. Performans ölçümünde yararlanılabilecek pek çok performans ölçütü bulunmakla birlikte en yaygın olarak kullanılan yöntem kesin ve objektif sonuçlar sunması açısından finansal performans ölçümüdür. Finansal performans ölçümü finansal analize dayanır. Finansal analiz tekniklerinden oran analizi ise işletmelerin değerlendirilmesinde kullanılan en eski ve en önemli mali analiz tekniklerindendir. Literatürde en yaygın olarak kullanılan finansal performans göstergelerinden bir tanesi aktif karlılığı (ROA-Return on Assets) olduğundan araştırmada buna etki eden faktörlerin (oranların) belirlenmesine çalışılmıştır. Araştırma örneklemini oluşturan 35 firmanın 1998-2017 dönemlerini kapsayan finansal bilgileri Panel Veri Analizi ile incelenmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre aktif devir hızı, aktif büyüklük ve stok devir hızı ROA’yı istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde ve pozitif yönde etkilerken, aktifteki büyüme, çalışma sermayesi devir hızı ve kaldıraç oranı istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde ve negatif yönde etkilemektedir.
