Marriage and Compensation: Wederstrandt v. Kol and a Spouse’s Right to a Wrongful Death Action

    No full text
The fascinating 2023 Louisiana Supreme Court case of Wederstrandt v. Kol[1] invokes the minds of legal scholars and displays a cautionary tale for the layperson. For the scholar, this case demonstrates skillful civilian statutory interpretation that highlights the exclusivity protecting the marriage articles in Louisiana’s Civil Code.
